Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 724

Uncle Fred and Aunt Karen kept their voices low while they talked.

At that time, Nell was standing on the other side and did not hear what they had talked about.

Nell was standing on a small slope not far away and had picked a whole bunch of flowers. They were all kinds of yellow, blue, purple, and pink.

Uncle Fred saw this and smirked in a devious manner.

"What a naive and innocent little girl. At this juncture, she’s still picking flowers."

Aunt Karen's fingertips trembled slightly and did not say a word.

Nell plucked a large bunch of flowers and ran over. She smiled and said, "Uncle Fred, Aunt Karen, do you think these flowers are pretty?"

Uncle Fred immediately put on a smile and replied, "Yeah, they’re nice."

"I'll take this flower back and put it in your living room, okay?"

"Okay, whatever."

They did not think much of it and just thought that Nell was a little girl at heart that liked pretty little flowers, grasses, and such.

Actually, Nell knew that these flowers were useful.

She did not just pick these flowers for nothing.

Nell had picked all of them with a purpose. Combined, these flowers were able to give off an enchanting fragrance.

She originally did not understand these. It was during her years abroad when she was out on a mission once that she happened to pass by a garden. Gregory Graham had taught her this.

These flowers were ordinary in the eyes of an average person.

Only when they were all combined and put together would they manifest their different effects.

She thought about the complicated situation that she and Nancy were in now.

Even though Nancy had said that she could take down the old couple by herself, she was still injured after all, and if possible, it was best if she did not fight them.

Nell's martial arts was also half-*ssed, the kind that only worked at times.

One should not underestimate farmers. Even if they did not have much fighting skills, they were still very strong.

Nell was not sure that she would be able to protect herself and Nancy if they encountered such a situation.

Therefore, she needed to be more prepared for herself and Nancy when the situation was still not so awry yet.

This was probably what was meant by being prepared for a rainy day.

She wanted to take these flowers back now and quietly dry them to grind them into powder. This was so that she could make a powder that could cause temporary psychedelia when the time came.

Although it was hard for her to tell how strong the powder would be because of the limited materials, it was still better than nothing.

If it did not work, then it could still be used as a temporary blinding agent.

Nell thought of this and went to pick another big bunch.

Aunt Karen watched as Nell happily picked the flowers and sighed silently in her heart.

She felt sorry for this girl, who was said to have 2 other children at home and was now trapped in this mountain, probably unable to get out for the rest of her life. She did not know what would become of Nell’s children.

Aunt Karen was sympathetic. She looked at Nell’s liveliness as if she had seen her younger self many years ago.

However, that was all that was left of her compassion after all these decades of hardening.

It was fine for her to sigh, but for her to take the initiative to tell Nell the truth about them, or even help them?

That was impossible!

Aunt Karen had escaped back then, so she knew how scary the mountain truly was.
