Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 726

The man rubbed his hands together and smiled.

"There's no rush. I'll just come over and have a look,” he said as he paced back and forth, then finally walked behind the stove.

"You're the little lady that Uncle Fred saved earlier. What's your name again?" He asked.

Nancy finally glanced up at him, but with contempt and sarcasm.

"Does it have anything to do with you?"

The man froze.

At first, he did not respond.

"What did you say?"

"You can't even hear what I'm saying, and yet you want to find out what my name is?"

The man understood and stalled there for a moment.

He probably never met such a sharp girl before, so he stood there for a while before he snickered.

"Hey! This one’s got a temper. I like it!"

Nancy frowned fiercely.

If she could, she wanted to beat him up with the fire poker.

The reality was, she had to refrain from doing so.

At the very least, she must not get on these people’s bad side until she and Nell had fully recovered.

Thus, Nancy did not speak again.

The man who was not pleased by her also felt a bit bored. He walked around for a bit and left with his arms folded.

From start to finish, Nell sat in front of the kitchen and did not move.

It was not until he went out and sat down on that bench in the middle of the hall that Nell heard him vaguely complain to Uncle Fred.

"That girl's got a real temper. When I bring her back home, I'll be sure to teach her a good lesson."

The hall was filled with the men's laughter.

"That's your own business. If you're willing to take her away now, it’s better to discipline her earlier."

The man immediately retorted.

"No way. I need to buy her whole. She’s still wounded and needs medical treatment. Her medicine requires money and I definitely won’t pay for it."

Uncle Fred did not speak again.

Nell withdrew her ears, lowered her gaze, and smirked.

The dinner was very sumptuous.

Some of the men did not stay for the meal.

Only two of them stayed, and Nell recognized one of them. He was the one she had seen outside previously, the one who was talking to Uncle Fred in the middle of the night.

During the meal, that person kept staring at her and occasionally put a few pieces of food in her bowl.

He smiled and said, "Eat more. Look at you girls from the city, so shy. How can your body recover quickly if you don’t eat?"

Nell smiled back and did not say a word.

She just silently put the food that he took for her aside and did not touch a single piece.

Nancy looked at the 2 men and did not see an ounce of good in them.

Uncle Fred watched this. Although he did not say anything, his brow was always furrowed.

After the meal, Nell helped Aunt Karen clear up the dishes before bringing it to Nancy at the back of the house.

Nancy’s intentionally fake smile collapsed once she returned to the room.

"What the hell! He's really planning to sell us to this kind of trash?"

Nell saw that Nancy was about to whine about it and immediately put a finger to her lips and "shushed" her.

It was only then that Nancy remembered that Uncle Fred and his wife could still be outside.

If she spoke too loudly, they might hear her and the situation would turn awry.
