Nevertheless, the person was not going to let her off easily. Hence, he was not in a rush to leave even after she was run over.
He made a U-turn and accelerated towards her once again.
Watching as Jennie sprinted towards her in doddering footsteps like a madwoman, Vickie’s eyes alighted with a cold glint. She waited until there was a meter distance between her and the car before suddenly leaping, landing on top of the car hood in a thump.
Everyone was dumbstruck.
Even the person behind the wheel had quite a fright.
Despite playing out a million scenarios in his head, the driver would never imagine that he would fail to kill her after two attempts and here she was, climbing up his car hood.
The person was a little flustered but he quickly gathered himself. With his mind made up, the car swiftly drifted in an attempt to fling away the woman crouching on the hood.
However, this was Vickie.
Even though she was badly wounded, it was a do or die moment. She would face the fate of pulverization if she were thrown off the hood.
Despite her capabilities or how fast her legs could carry her, it was impossible to outrun a four-wheeled car.
Moreover, this car windshield was still intact after the multiple collision. Apart from a slight scratch on the hood, there was not even a dent. This was a custom car designed to run her over.
In such a situation, Vickie’s only choice was to do her utmost and not be flung if she wanted to live.
She desperately held onto the rear-view mirror of the car. Try as the person may in swerving, drifting, and veering, her body stuck onto the car without moving an inch.
Jennie, on the other hand, had come back to her senses. Standing in the same spot, she looked at Vickie with a pale face and cried. “Sister!”
Vickie heard her and shouted back, “Call the cops!”
Jennie immediately acted on it and whipped out her phone to call the police.
The person in the car seemed to have caught a glimpse of her as well. Fluster was written all over his face as it never crossed his mind that Vickie would be this difficult.
He rammed her twice yet she was still not dead. Failing the mission was nothing compared to his sacrifice in vain if the police were to arrive.
Not only would the party concerned refuse to pay up, but his family might also suffer the consequences then.
With that in mind, he was thrown into a panic.
He could not shake Vickie off and if he left the car, he was no match for her either after reading her profile. He was only an ordinary man who was slightly better in driving, unbefitting in comparison to a former assassin.
What should he do?
At that moment when the cards were on the table, he turned his attention to Jennie who was on the phone a short distance away.
With a chilly glint in his eyes, he made a swift decision to turn the car around and thrust towards Jennie.
Vickie immediately caught on the moment he made the turnaround.
With her heart in her mouth, she yelled, “Jennie, watch out!”
However, it was too late.
Jennie was not her. She did not have agile reflexes nor was she skillful in the art of self-defense.
She might have heard Vickie and turned over to see the car flying towards her, but there was no way she could dodge in time.
Vickie was holding onto the hood with all her might to avoid being thrown off. It was hard enough to stay put from being flung, she could not possibly have a third arm to push Jennie away.
So...
“Wham!”
