Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 849

Vickie panicked. She tried to push Gregory away, but his body did not move a single inch. After all, she was still injured. How could she have the strength to do it?

In the end, she lost the strength to resist him. It was as if her strength was sapped by the fondness in her heart. She did not even have the heart to stop him.

After quite some time, Gregory finally let go of her.

At that moment, Vickie’s body became weak as a layer of mist-covered her eyes. Compared to her usual fierce self, there was a certain charm to her delicate side.

Gregory gently brushed over the corner of her lips.

He said gently, “Vick, haven’t I told you? Anything that involves you also involves me.”

Vickie did not know how to respond.

She looked at him confusedly as she did not understand his words.

Suddenly, Gregory held her hand. Vickie could feel the thin layer of callus on his palms as a weird feeling entered her heart.

He said with a deep voice, “Let’s get back together, okay?”

Vickie froze in surprise.

She did not know he could change topics so quickly.

He was talking about how he was worried about her legs before that. However, the topic was suddenly about reconciliation now.

Her eyebrows frowned as she shook her head.

“Not okay.”

Gregory knew that she would not agree to his request that quickly, but he would not let go of her that easily either. He then asked, “Why isn’t it okay?”

Vickie did not say a word.

He looked at her eyes. The atmosphere was undoubtedly romantic as one of them was looking at the other person from a high place.

However, his thoughts were not that romantic despite the atmosphere.

Gregory stared at her and asked, “Are you still mad about what happened four years ago?”

Things were fine before he brought the matter up. Once he brought up the issue, unpleasant memories started to appear in Vickie’s mind, which made her frustrated.

She frowned and said, “Gregory, I was in prison for four years.”

He nodded his head. “I know.”

“Do you think I’ll agree to get back together with you?”

Gregory smiled.

He embraced her face gently and said, “Sorry. If I apologize to you, will you forgive me?”

Vickie was speechless.

He raised his eyebrows and continued. “Maybe you can think of a crime and put me in prison too? How about I stay in prison for four years as an apology?”

Vickie did not expect this man to be this persistent. She got mad at him and attempted to push him away.

She tried to push him, but he did not move.

She gave up and said, “Gregory, I don’t want you to go to prison. I just can’t forget about what happened in the past.”

She stopped for a while before continuing. “After all, I had put my trust in you. I used to love you, but what I got was your betrayal and doubt. In the beginning, I explained to you countless times that I didn’t kill that woman. However, you didn’t believe me. You even sent me to prison. Now, you want me to love you. I’m sorry, but I can’t do it.”

That was her resolution.

From what she could see, Gregory looked depressed.

He looked at her and asked, “Did you suffer in prison throughout those four years?”

Vickie stopped for a while to think. She then answered, “No.”

She had been given a private prison cell.

Apart from freedom, she had all that she needed.

Gregory said with a deep voice, “If I truly thought that you killed Shana, then how did you get to live the past four years in prison so leisurely? Do you really think that I’d willingly keep you by my side? You’re the person who allegedly killed my cousin, after all.”
