Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 913

From the moment Vickie was rescued, Gregory had not left her side—Not even when the doctors came to check on her.

Everyone knew that he was feeling lost and conflicted now. It was not something they could understand, so they paid it no heed.

Other than the occasional soft words of how late it was now and that she was fine and just needed rest, everyone did not press any further. They returned to their rooms to rest.

The doctor gave Vickie her medicine and also retired for the night after setting out the medicine for the next morning.

Only Gregory and Vickie were left in the room.

He sat at her bedside, staring at her and holding her hand tenderly. His heart was in pain.

The heavens knew and now Gregory also knew just how important Vickie was to him.

The whole time he was meticulously strategizing, but only he truly knew how afraid he was.

He had been afraid that he could not find her, afraid something had happened to her. He had been afraid that one day when he found her, it would only be her corpse.

Being able to see her lie there safe and sound filled him with gratitude.

Gratitude that the heavens returned her to him.

From today onward, he resolved to never bring up the past ever again. All the resentment and grudges he once held on to were no more.

He would treasure her and make sure no harm ever came her way again.

Gregory sat there by Vickie, deep in thought for a long time.

The next morning…

Nell awoke bright and early. She headed straight to the hall in the main building and was greeted by Mr. Osborne.

She cheerily greeted him. “Good morning, Mr. Osborne.”

Mr. Osborne also really liked Nell. He was never acquainted with her before. He only knew that the Leiths and the Grahams did not really interact.

Since the Young Master was the heir of the Grahams, he never really had any nice opinions of the Leiths.

To him, they were like the Young Master and Miss Thomas, inexplicitly kind people.

Mr. Osborne put aside any preconceptions he had about them and warmly greeted her.

He chuckled and said, “Up early I see, Mrs. Leith. Here to see Miss Vickie?”

Nell nodded. “Yes, is she awake yet?”

Mr. Osborne was all smiles when she mentioned it. “Yes, she’s awake. She’s currently resting in her room with Young Master.”

Nell looked up the stairs and smiled. “So I assume it’s inconvenient for me to see her right now?”

The last thing she wanted was to barge in and see something she should not have seen.

Mr. Osborne seemed to catch the hidden meaning behind her words and smiled back. “Not at all, please go on ahead.”

Nell felt relieved and responded, “Thank you, I shall head up then.”

“Of course.”

Nell walked up to the room Vickie was placed in yesterday.

She knocked and a male voice responded with, “Come in.”

She pushed the door open to see Vickie sitting up in bed and Gregory at the bedside feeding her some medicine.
