Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 917

Beside the man was a pear tree with a few sticks of incense on it. The smell of agarwood wafted from the incense, filling the room with a nice and earthy scent.

After the servant finished speaking, the man stopped fanning himself.

He blankly asked, “So, all of the Chinese Association’s territories have been split between them?”

The servant lowered their head and respectfully replied, “Yes, Sir.”

As he spoke, the servant glanced at his master with confusion.

“Master, we’re slightly confused. You clearly helped in dealing with the Chinese Association, but why…”

The man let out a small smile. That extraordinarily handsome face of his held a touch of unpredictable brilliance.

He stated, “Do I look like I’m short of money?”

His servant paled.

They did not know just how wealthy their master was, but it was obvious he was not short of money.

The servant shook his head.

“Since we don't need it, why fight for it?”

The servant seemed to both understand and not understand at the same time.

“Then, your reason for providing aid…”

“I have my reasons.”

The man finished speaking and waved his hand to dismiss the servant. They figured it was not wise to press any further and stepped back.

After they left, the man sat there for a while until the maids came in and informed him, “Second Old Master is here.”

The man nodded and headed out.

The empty room was decorated simply but tastefully.

When the man arrived, there was already someone else in the room.

The person was wearing a dark suit and appeared to be in his 50s or 60s. The person immediately bowed in respect when he saw the man. “Sir, you’re here.”

Jeff Flinders looked straight at Louis Flinders.

Holding a string of Buddhist prayer beads and gently rubbing them, Jeff said, “Take a seat.”

Only then did Louis sit down.

It was hard to believe the publicly known patriarch of the Flinders family would actually respectfully bow down to a man who looked at least 20 years younger than him.

The two sat across each other with an antique tea set on the table in front of them.

Jeff reached out and carefully made some tea.

Louis could see that his hands were fair and slender like segments of bamboo made from white jade. They did not look like a man’s hands at all.

He almost looked mesmerized and only snapped back to reality when Jeff spoke.

“Everything in the family doing okay?”

Louis hastily replied, “All is well. What you’ve requested has been carried out and delegated. Everything’s according to plan.”

Jeff nodded.
