Spoiled by the President novel Chapter 92

The woman’s tender face stroked on his arm, emanating heat.

His Adam’s apple shifted up and down as he rasped, “Okay, wait a moment.”

Gideon parked the car at the side of the road and retrieved a bottle of water from the trunk before getting back onto the car. He carefully positioned the water by her mouth.

“Nelly, here, water.”

Holding onto his hand, Nell took a few huge gulps.

The cold water washed away the heat in her throat for a moment but in mere seconds, numbing and boiling sensation sent waves through her body.

Unable to endure any further, she pulled open her collar and ground against the seat.

“I really don’t feel good.”

Gideon fastened the seatbelt and spoke with a gruff, “Bear with it. We’ll be at the hospital soon.”

Nell fell to the side and her head landed on his shoulder. If it were not for the seatbelt, she probably would fall into his arms.

“Gideon Leith, I can’t take it any longer. Let’s not go to the hospital.”

He had one hand on the wheel and one hand propping the woman up.

“The wounds on your body need to be tended to. Be good now, just bear with it a little longer.”

Tightening his grip on the wheel, Gideon caught a glimpse of a nearby high-end apartment block. He seemed to recall owning a property there. Hence, he drove towards that direction.

The car was fast approaching the apartment when he suddenly heard a soft click.

Nell had unfastened her seatbelt.

Gideon’s body was pulsing with intensity by her actions and words. He said with a raspy voice, “Nelly, sit still. I’m driving.”

“No!”

With her head in the clouds, she rubbed against his body.

Helpless, Gideon freed his arm to restrain her and shove her head against his shoulder.

“Then sit there and be good. Don’t move, we’ll be there shortly.”

“Sure, hubby.”

“Screeeechhhhh!”

Amid the sudden braking, Gideon almost lost control of the wheel. He sharply drew a breath.

“Nell Jennings!”

“Yes?”

The woman in his embrace lifted her head in a daze. Those glossy eyes hazily stared at him like a lost deer.

In the thick of Nell’s affectionate and dewy gaze, Gideon choked on his words before they could escape his lips.

A while later, he answered with a husky voice, “Don’t move about. Just bear with me for another two minutes, okay?”

As if she understood, Nell obediently nodded.

“Can I hold you like this?”

“Yes.”

Nell sat still and clung around his neck, hanging onto him like a koala bear.

Gideon drove into the neighborhood’s underground car park. Prior to getting down, he gave Matthew a call to summon a doctor over before lifting Nell out of the car.
