Manuel looked at Ainsley, who was lying on the hospital bed and having porridge obediently. He kept thinking about her collapsing in

the rain

Manuel silently walked to the window and looked at a few conspicuous flowers on the green lawn behind the hospital. The buds

A patient sneakily walked to the lawn and reached out to break the stem of a flower.

Manuel’s heart skipped a beat, and his face darkened.

A girl was in a pool of blood. Another girl cried crazily and eventually passed out.

This scene made him unable to stand. He held the wall with one hand and pressed his temple with the other

Ainsley asked, “What’s wrong?”

Manuel forced a smile and slowly smoothed his brows. “I’m fine. Have you finished eating?”

“Yes.” Ainsley took out a tissue and wiped the corner of her mouth.

She wanted to pull the infusion needle off the back of her hand but was stopped by Manuel.

“It won’t take long, and your fever hasn’t been completely brought down.”

In a deserted house, a Cayenne car stopped in the courtyard. A woman in a hospital gown walked out of the car with a pale face.

Manuel walked to her and supported her.

As soon as she entered the room, Ainsley saw a middle–aged woman tied to the chair to which she had been tied before.

Kiera struggled frantically, but the rope was very thick, which was specially brought by Manuel’s subordinates.

Moreover, the exits on the second floor and the first floor were all guarded by people. Even if she could really break free of the rope. she would not be able to get out of there.

As soon as she saw Ainsley, Kiera immediately became excited.

However, her mouth was covered by a large piece of tape. Having taken Manuel’s hint, his subordinate immediately took the tape off.

“Tell me, is it Kaitlin who stole my thesis and told you to publish it?” She firmly stared at Kiera.

“You don’t understand? I just can’t figure it out. How did you manage to obtain my thesis? After checking all the surveillance cameras, I found that there was nothing abnormal about you, but we all understood that it was her.” Ainsley’s expression was gloomy.

Manuel put a piece of paper in front of her. “I checked your account. Yesterday, a sum of 80 thousand dollars was transferred to your account. The transferer was Kaitlin.” He released his hand and the piece of paper lightly fell.

Kiera watched the piece of paper fall to the ground. Her hands behind her back trembled slightly. “Since you’ve known it, why did you ask me?”

“I don’t know what benefits Kaitlin has given you. However, you should also know what kind of crime it is to steal another person’s

thesis and have it published. The school expelled you, but I have the right to sue you. Besides, since this matter happened, what you’ve done is more than kidnapping,” Ainsley said.

Ainsley shook her head. “I have checked your profile. You have a daughter. If you have a criminal record, do you want your daughter to be criticized since she’s little? Kiera stared at Ainsley in disbelief. “Impossible! Impossible!” She struggled to shout, “She told me that you wanted to completely ice me out! I was fired, so I wanted to open a consulting center, but she said that you would not let me go. I had no choice. I really had no choice. That’s why I wanted you to write a thesis for me.”

Ainsley asked, “Even if I write it for you, can you have it published?”

“Yes! She said she would help me. Her family is so powerful. She can definitely help me.”

Ainsley heaved a sigh. “Do you really think I can completely ice you out of the industry?”

Kiera glanced at Manuel. “You can’t, but Manuel can. She told me that the two of you had an affair.”
