Chapter 113 The Police Car
Ainsley sneered, “Kaitlin has hated me for a long time. I think you should know better than me about what she does at school. After all, you have taught her before. She likes playing tricks. Even if you really get my thesis, she won’t help you. She only wants to set against me. After her goal is achieved, how can she care about you?”
Kiera burst into tears. She bit her lips. “It was my fault. I listened to her and kidnapped you. It was all my fault.”
“Explain the photo to me,” Ainsley recalled it was because of the photo that she fell for the trick that day.
Kiera kept quiet for a moment and pursed her lips. “It was Kaitlin who arranged for someone to get close to Serina. Then, the person
took a photo with Serina. That photo was half real and half fake.”
After Kiera finished speaking, her face turned pale and her head drooped.
Ainsley and Manuel looked at each other. They were very clear that based on Serina’s personality, it would not take long to get close
to her.
She was quite into fun and rather sociable. Yet, if she knew that it was because of her that Ainsley became like this, she would only feel guilty. Ainsley looked meaningfully at Kiera. She realized she couldn’t let Kaitlin off anymore.
She signaled to Manuel with her eyes, and Manuel had his subordinate let go of Kiera.
“You want to let me go?” Kiera looked at Ainsley in disbelief.
“Of course, it’s not that easy. You need to testify as a witness to accuse Kaitlin of kidnapping me. I will give you a letter of
understanding.”
“Will you really do that?” If Ainsley was really willing to give a letter of understanding, she would be sentenced but her sentence
would be reduced.
“Of course.”
“I am willing to testify,” Kiera said solemnly.
After leaving the house, she got into the car again. Just now, she felt uncomfortable and dizzy. She had been holding on. Now that
she sat down, she finally relaxed. Her forehead was covered in sweat.
Manuel looked at her worriedly and touched her forehead. It was very hot.
When she came out of the door of the hospital, her fever had already subsided. Why did she have a fever again now?
Manuel felt very regretful. He should not have taken her out.
In the hospital, Ainsley was lying on the hospital bed, on a drip, and her fever had not subsided.
Serina came to school. She already knew the truth of the matter. Last night, Manuel called her, telling her everything over the phone.
Originally, she was very sad, but when she thought of that classmate, she was so awfully angry.
Her ***state was unstable, so she took several days off in a row.
When she appeared in the classroom, everyone was very surprised, especially Serina’s friends, including Lydia, who had hidden her
mobile phone.
“Serina, why did you come to school? The teacher said that you asked for leave.”
“Yeah, Serina, why don’t you rest at home for a few more days?”
Serina glanced at Lydia. The latter avoided her eyes in fear and wanted to sneak away.
Serina immediately rushed over and grabbed Lydia’s hair. “Lydia! Don’t you try to escape!”
“Ah! Help! Serina, what are you doing? We’re at school!”
Although the other students in the class were all panicking, no one dared to stop them. They were very clear about who Serina was
They couldn’t afford to offend her.
Lydia screamed frantically, but Serina ignored her. She pulled Lydia’s hair and walked to the back row, “How dare you lie to me!”
She suddenly threw Lydia to the ground and fiercely slapped the latter. “Tell me! Did Kaitlin tell you to do that!”
She vented all her anger on Lydia. Particularly, the worry and guilt she felt yesterday all turned into anger.
