Conrad pressed on with his proposal, “There’s something in it for you too.”
“Right! I knew you wouldn’t ask me to do it for free! But what about you?” Tyler sounded a bit pissed. “Your cousin is a bad apple in your family. He had it coming. You don’t have to help him, you know?”
“But Eileen is Fia’s best friend. Fia cares about her a lot. And Eileen would not stand by and watch Victor get into trouble…”
The truth was that Conrad did not want Eileen to have anything to do with Victor ever again! Still, he could not tell the whole thing to just anyone.
Tyler rolled his eyes at Conrad. “What? You’re going to interfere with other people’s relationships too?”
“Fia doesn’t want her best friend to get hurt again.”
“Fine, I’ll help you. This is all for your dearest wife.” Tyler pouted. “But I ain’t gonna do it for free. I want some of your cousin’s stocks.”
“Sure, I’ll have Silas negotiate it for you.”
“No, it’s fine. I can negotiate it myself! If he doesn’t agree, I’ll just opt for the more forceful approach!”

Conrad responded with a smile. He knew very well that Tyler was absolutely capable of taking on Victor himself.
Thus, Tyler left the villa to deal with the matter. He did not bring his wife home because he did not want to disturb her happy time with her idol in the Maxwells’ living room.
Seeing that her husband had left, Mary sniggered. “My husband’s left. He probably went out to do something for Mr. Maxwell.”
Fia nodded. “I guess so.”
Mary then said, “I think Mr. Maxwell is leaving soon too. So, after he leaves the villa, wanna go see Britney Thomas? Just the four of us?”
Fia hesitated. “But is this right? If things get out of hand, your good name will be ruined alongside mine.”
Sophia puffed up her chest and said, “Don’t worry! I’ll protect you!”
Eileen said, “I can ask Kent to find us some people to help us. It’ll be fine.”

I had known that the ending would be like this , I would never had read this book. It didn’t have a right ending at all. Made no sense. Don’t waste your time....
Evil should never win and Lucifer has harmed far to many....
This should not end this way. Fia, rather than following Lucifer’s evil path should reflect and realize that she has always loved Conrad and he has always loved her. Their problems were due to the interference of others, Beryl, Esme etc . Since she is the only one that can approach Lucifer, she and Peter should cooperate with each other, kill Lucifer and evil Beryl, Peter can remove the toxins/ poison from everyone and each will be able to live normal lives without interfering with others relationship's. The children deserve their real father who will love them dearly and provide and protect them with the life they deserve. Gia has been a fool since the beginning and has believed everyone but her beloved husband. Please end this on a good note, that is why we all read these stories, everyone loves a happy ending....
