Luna found herself staring at the glass, her heart heaving like a raging ocean.
She had seen Charlie and Nancy together a couple of times before, be it at their house or on the set of advertising shoots. Charlie's affection towards Nancy, who was standing in for Vivian at that time, was just as tender as it was now.
Except for just a moment ago. Charlie was with the real Vivian. On the surface, he acted decently towards Vivian, but he had her drink for him, and he hadn't shown any anger when others toasted, like he was doing now with her.
Nancy had only just taken over from Vivian, and his attitude had already shifted.
Although the change was subtle, Luna noticed.
With this realization, she looked at Charlie incredulously. Could it be... he had already figured out that Nancy and Vivian were not the same person?
"What's the matter, Luna? Do I need to spoon-feed you?"
Luna saw the sarcasm at the corner of Charlie's mouth, hastily shook her head, and quickly picked up the glass. Gritting her teeth, she downed the wine in one gulp.
Just as she finished drinking, Charlie handed her another glass. "Thank you for looking after Vivi. Let me toast you again."
Luna's heart quaked violently. The feeling grew stronger. She looked deeply at Nancy, not daring to refuse, and downed the wine again.
A "thud" sound echoed as Charlie placed another glass beside Luna. This time he didn't say anything, just gave Luna a deep, warning look. Luna took a deep breath, didn't dare to say anything, picked up the glass, and drank again.
Thankfully, Luna had a good tolerance for alcohol. She hadn't drunk much since entering the venue. After three glasses, she only felt a little tipsy.
Seeing Nancy, arm entwined with Charlie's, walking away with Director Grant, she quickly took out her phone.
She had to tell Vivian about this!
Whether Nancy had betrayed them or Charlie had discovered the truth himself, she had to let Vivian know as soon as possible so she could respond!
