What on earth!
Vivian was taken aback, quickly clarifying, "Alexander, what I meant was that I wanted to keep distance from you, not…"
"Not what?"
With a sudden, punitive bite on her small earlobe, Alexander's smile grew more manic. "Ah… Isn't it more thrilling, more challenging, with Charlie outside and us in here?"
Pinned tightly against the wall, Vivian was helplessly against Alexander's restraint. All she could do was curse, "Alexander, you're insane!"
"Ah, say it louder!"
Alexander gripped her hair, pressing her face against the wall. Looking at her frightened, yet furious profile, every cell in his body was alight with excitement. "Let's give everyone a show, let Charlie see what we're up to…"
At that moment, Vivian's phone chimed from her bag on the floor. She wanted to pick it up, but Alexander gave her no chance, ignoring the incessant ringing.
Luna called once, twice, but Vivian didn't respond.
Just as she was about to dial a third time, she caught sight of an attractive woman in a lake-blue dress, arm in arm with a middle-aged man, standing before Charlie and Nancy.
"Damn it! How did Olivia get here!?"
Quickly stowing her phone, she hurried over.
Nancy eyed Olivia Davis, a smile replacing her initial awkwardness.
Who the hell is this?
