Zoey looked up and narrowed her eyes at him.
“What is that matter related to Bailey?”
The bodyguard in black seemed to be pondering the best way to express his mind. He contemplated briefly before saying, “Two days ago, the racing association published the participant list for the International Racecar Tournament. Chanaea's representative, Dexter Nicholson, could not return to the country to take part in the tournament because he was occupied by some personal matters, so he requested his friend to take his place in the contest. The substitute is Bailey.”
Zoey widened her eyes in utter disbelief.
In her opinion, an intense and dangerous sport like car racing was usually participated by men, so she wondered if Bailey, a woman, was up for the challenge.
“Are you sure she will be replacing Dexter in the tournament?”
“Yes. I'm absolutely certain.”
A hint of menace flashed across Zoey's eyes as an idea to eliminate her concern once and for all popped into her mind amidst her rumination.
If a car overturns or crashes into a building while traveling at high speed during a race, the driver would suffer a horrible death, right? I want to send that b*tch, Bailey, to hell.
“Did you mention that your friend works in the International Racecar Tournament? Is he subjective to bribery?”
The bodyguard in black fell silent for a few moments before replying, “There isn't any problem in this world that cannot be resolved with money. As long as you can offer a handsome reward, I believe there will always be room for discussion.”
“Okay.” She stretched out her arm and lifted one finger at him. “I'll be offering him this much. Let me know if your friend is willing to take the job.”
A look of surprise flitted past the bodyguard's eyes. The daughter of the Shurmer family is indeed generous, putting forward one hundred million as the reward without hesitation.
“Okay. I'll contact my friend right away to seek his opinion. To what extent do you want him to tamper with the tournament, Ms. Zoey?”
Zoey curled her lips into a smile and responded coldly, “I want her dead. Regardless of what your friend does, I want him to make sure Bailey will perish along with the vehicle during the race.”
“Okay. I'll discuss it with my friend. Please wait for my update.”
With that, he turned around to leave the pavilion.
After taking two steps forward, Zoey's voice sounded behind him. “Remember to handle this matter well and not let outsiders get dirt on us. If your friend is reluctant to accept the offer, you must buy him off to ensure his silence too.”
“Yes, Ms. Zoey.”
