He lowered his eyes and was greeted with the ghastly sight of her blood-stained pants. His expression fell.
Despite not being a father, he knew what such profuse bleeding meant for a pregnant woman.
Holy shit!
It was highly likely that she'd lose the child in her stomach based on the amount of blood loss.
“Z-Zeke, my stomach hurts so bad.”
She'd subconsciously held on to Zeke's arm and called out to him.
Zeke was shaken to his core as he propped Bailey's upper half up and wound his arms around her tightly.
“W-What should I do? Am I allowed to move you, or will I end up causing more harm?”
He was unlike his usual implacable self and was as helpless as a child as he fumbled to position his hands correctly.
Bailey bit on her lip as another wave of excruciating pain shook her free from her woolly state.
“I-I'm afraid that I'll be losing the child. Zeke, I hate them so much. They deserve to be dead.”
Zeke's hawk-like eyes were misty.
He was a hulking man who always had his way with things and feared nothing, yet a bone-chilling trepidation overtook him then.
“D-Don't say such things. I'll find the best doctor in the world and make sure your baby is safe. I swear.”
Bailey let out a broken laugh as she croaked, “They drugged me. I was apoplectic when I discovered it. As such, my emotional turmoil must have affected the baby. I would never have escaped if I hadn't exhausted all my reserves to carry out hypnosis. Zeke, this child inside me is a lost cause. I'm Anonymous, the world-renowned miracle doctor. I know my body best. The infant has yet to be formed but is now nothing but blood. There's no way for us to save it.”
Zeke's face contorted in rage as he gritted his teeth. “Who did this to you? Who in the world was plotting against you?”
Bailey's eyes flashed with a harsh glint.
She had always been an open-minded individual who never bore a grudge despite Rhonda and Zoey's cruelties against her in the past.
Alas, she couldn't say the same now as she experienced the sheer agony of her child leaving her body prematurely.
Bailey wanted nothing more than to annihilate the three friends of the Jefferson family.
Death would be a mercy for them.
