Caridee broke into a wry smile. “Bailey sure is a cunning one. She convinced my cousin into bribing Justin so they could trick my uncle and aunt! I won't let her get away with corrupting the Chivers family bloodline!”

Rhonda got up from the couch with a conflicted look on her face. “We don't have any proof of this, Caridee. Besides, this is all just my guess, so don't go doing anything rash. It's true that Bailey has crossed the line by ruining my reputation, but she is still my sister. I—”

“That's enough.” Caridee hugged her tightly. “Defending the culprit when you're the victim? You're being way too kind, Rhonda. She deceived my uncle and aunt, and she ruined your reputation.
