Anya hesitated as she picked up the yogurt and took a sip. “Chad, I really wanted a Sprite, but I’m worried about the calories.”

Leo reached over, grabbed a bottle of Sprite, and cracked it open with a grin. “Sprite won’t make you fat; it’s all bubbles. Have you ever heard of anyone getting fat from air? Once you open it, it’s like drinking water. Go ahead, enjoy.”

Anya chuckled, “So, what actually makes you fat, Chad?”

Leo paused thoughtfully, “Fat, of course.”

Anya glanced at the grilled fish, but before she could ask, Leo chimed in, “This won’t make you gain weight. Fish actually helps with digestion. No way it could make you fat.”

She realized that in Leo’s world, nothing seemed to contribute to weight gain. Maybe it was his charming logic, but as she ate, it started to make sense.

After their meal, they took a stroll around the neighborhood. Since it was already late and the supermarket was closed, Anya sat on a roadside bench and ordered an electronic scale from her phone.

Worried about his future convincing power, Leo joked, “Those scales aren’t accurate anyway. Trust me, I’ve got all the right answers.”

Anya went ahead and placed the order. Then she noted it down in her budget app: “Miscellaneous (electronic scale), $4.”

Leo leaned back comfortably on the bench, enjoying the night breeze as they watched the quiet street bathed in the warm glow of the streetlights.

On their way back, Leo picked up a big drumstick for Anya. “Babe, would I trick you? Chicken's not fattening. Look at those gym buffs; they practically live on chicken for protein.”

Anya, holding the bag, smiled, “I’ll save it for tomorrow then.”

Once home, feeling much better after their chat, Anya put the drumstick in the fridge and started her nighttime routine.

As Anya brushed her teeth, Leo washed his face beside her. “Do you want to see Chubby or Sleepy Squash tomorrow?”
