Wayne turned his head from side to side, yawning as he eyed a gift bigger than himself. He figured his birth could be seen as a graduation gift for his mom and decided it was time for a nap.

In the living room, Jade called out, “Chad, Chad! come get your son, he’s in the way of my present-opening spree.”

Grandpa Elmer, beaming, approached and said, “Molly, let me hold him. You take your time with the presents, I’ve got my great-grandson to snuggle.”

Kendrick and Coleen always thought of themselves as young, with their son just hitting his early twenties and their daughter barely stepping into adulthood.
