She actually knew about Vulture! The Hernandez family had kept the lid so tight on this information that no outsider should have a clue. If she knew, then she had to be involved!
A woman in the know, and her... skills!
It was her!
Kon's eyes flew wide open in shock. The woman who had hurt Vulture was Mia!
She was playing the victim, setting him and the others up to come running to her aid. And those party photos? She knew they were fake from the get-go because she orchestrated it all!
Putting the pieces together, Kon seethed with rage from his hiding spot in the bushes. "I won't let you get away with this!" he fumed. He'd been duped by a sly woman; just goes to show, he thought bitterly, you can't trust 'em!
He kicked himself for not shooting them on the spot when he had the chance, leaving them no room to fight back.
His plan had been to lure Andre out by kidnapping them, forcing him to watch his beloved's demise alongside his brother's girlfriend. That way, Conner would turn against Andre, shattering their brotherly bond. Then, by holding Andre's son hostage, he could make his escape and let Andre suffer as he watched his son be slowly tortured, haunting him with nightmares for life. It was supposed to be the perfect revenge.
But things didn't pan out. The more Kon pondered it, the angrier he got. After catching his breath, he got up and hurried towards the riverside. Getting out of there was the top priority.
He knew there was a tough guy by the river who might help smuggle him out.
Folks working down by the river noticed someone snooping around, "Cough cough, looks like we got our target."
"Is he one of Troy's men?" Kon stepped up and asked the two guys directly.
The two guys were taken aback: "...” The target had walked right into their trap, now what?
"Who are you, and what do you want?" They quickly assumed the role of "Troy's" men, questioning him.
Andre sighed and rubbed his temples. He walked over and scooped up his son before he could leap. Then, the phone rang.
"Hello?"
Henry, still in a mood, insisted on jumping off the table, "Henry, daddy's on the phone. Give me two minutes, then you can carry on."
Henry eyed his dad's phone, then pressed his lips against it, "Meow woo doo-doo! daddy car car!"
The person on the other end was silent, unsure what to make of the situation, especially with Henry there too.
"Okay, stop fussing. Daddy's gonna take you for a ride, alright? Be a good boy and quiet down."
Andre, feeling a bit overwhelmed, juggled his son in one arm and the phone in the other, heading out to take his son for a drive, "Alright, go ahead."
