Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 1264

Aimee: "Drive your car and pick me up early tomorrow morning."

"Okay."

When Aimee arrived at the Hernandez family estate, it felt even more expansive than usual with just her and her mother around.

Aimee and her mom spent some time in the living room, playing with little Momo in their makeshift playground before heading back to their rooms.

Patrick also returned home, and Mrs. Ashe asked eagerly, "Patrick, any news yet?"

Patrick shook his head, "We'll have to come up with another plan."

Aimee lay in bed, surrounded by safety rails to keep Momo from tumbling off. While she was lost in thought, Momo crawled around on his own, each of them in their own world.

Suddenly, Aimee rolled over, rummaging through the tangled sheets to find her phone and video call her husband.

Patrick glanced at his phone and said to his mother, "I'm heading upstairs. Aimee and the little one are video calling me."

In the bedroom, Patrick adjusted his tone before answering, "Hey, I'm home now."

Hearing his dad's voice, Momo toddled over like a little chick, stumbling with each step, then crawled to his mom's side, eager to see his dad too. He babbled, calling out, "Dada, dada."

Patrick responded warmly.

"Patrick, I've got something to tell you. Brooks gave me an idea tonight. Could you check if there have been any strangers visiting Dad's grave around the anniversary of his death each year? Or on special holidays? His sudden disappearance must have been to hide from someone, and since he was close to Dad, he’d probably still commemorate him on those days, right?" Aimee suggested.

Patrick thought deeply, "Aimee, let me make a call."

Aimee realized that today's video call with her husband was full of interruptions, always ending abruptly after a few words.

After hanging up, Patrick immediately contacted his team, "Check the surveillance, and keep an eye out for anyone from the Collins family."

Aimee, feeling like someone in a long-distance relationship, kept checking her phone for a message from her husband, then checking again.

"It's been three minutes, and your dad hasn't replied yet. What do you think he's up to?"

Momo, with his chubby cheeks, communicated with his mom, "Oh oh!"

Aimee: "Apart from 'oh,' what else can you do?"

"Ah," Momo switched sounds.

Aimee: "...So apart from 'oh,' it's 'ah.' What else can you do?"

Momo, looking at his serious yet beautiful mom, burst into tears!

And so, in the middle of the night, Ms. Aimee sat up in bed. Holding her son, who she had unwittingly upset, she cuddled and soothed him, sighing, "Oh, little humans are so tricky. I wasn't even cross with you, so why all the tears?"
