During that time, Mia was on high alert, dabbing ointment on her son's face every chance she got, worried that his cute little face might end up with scars. At home, Henry was a bit of a whirlwind, so Andre figured taking him to the office might be the best move.
That's when Henry discovered the coffee machine. His tiny fingers grabbed the coffee beans, tossing them in with glee, his little hands stirring away like he was on a mission.
Noah chuckled, "Boss, doesn’t this bring back memories?"
Andre smirked, recalling how much coffee was consumed in the office when Mia was pregnant with Henry. He glanced over at the small orange tree in the corner, "Get him out of here."
Noah looked puzzled. "Huh?"
"Mia’s son is bound to follow in her footsteps," Andre said with a knowing grin. "Mia once snuck a taste of those oranges."
Noah quickly whisked Henry away.
In the week leading up to Mia’s exam, Henry was passed around like a hot potato. Naomi, running after her energetic nephew, quipped, "Henry’s got enough energy to make me lose three pounds a day!"
At home, Cooper was buried in his thesis, his schedule flipped due to time zone differences. He’d sleep during the day and video call his PhD advisor at night to discuss his research.
Henry found himself in the care of his brother Leo, who even brought Wayne from the Byrne family over to their peaceful neighborhood. Anya was in her element, "Sweetie, do you want some mini muffins? Big sis Anya made them just for you."
"Hey cutie, what flavor of custard do you like? Anya can whip up anything."
With Henry as practice, Leo became a pro at taking care of the little ones. Nap time for Leo meant being sandwiched between his two brothers, who were surprisingly more content with him than with their mom.
In the afternoon, Cooper and Chad came to collect the kiddos. Later, during a video call with his advisor, Henry made an adorable cameo, babbling away. Cooper seized the moment to teach his nephew a bit of English before resuming his chat with the advisor.
Henry, ever the affectionate one, wrapped his arms around her neck and planted a big smooch.
Mia then scooped up Wayne, "You give Auntie a kiss too."
She leaned in, and Wayne obliged with a sweet peck.
Just before dashing into the exam area, Mia stole a quick kiss from her husband.
Every time a test paper was released, Denny was right there outside, solving the problems. Jamie’s parents watched him with pride.
As long as Mia was in the exam, Henry was in the car, barefoot on the seat, climbing over to give his little brother a kiss. Wayne, delighted by the attention, flailed his limbs with a gummy smile, drool everywhere.
