Mia, quick as a fox, wrapped both arms around her husband's neck, her hands landing at the back of his head like she was about to pull off that classic move—ripping off his mask to see who he really was.
But the moment Andre caught her, their eyes met through the mask. She caught the worried look in his gaze—and just like that, she changed her mind. Instead of pulling off the mask, Mia tightened her grip around his neck.
With a playful kick, she wrapped her legs around his waist, latching onto him like a stubborn little koala.
The crowd gawked, jaws dropping, unable to believe what they were seeing.
Molly’s eyes nearly popped out of her head. She charged up to the edge of the ring, pounding on it with both fists. “Mia! Mia! Don’t do this just to win! Mia, you’re my girl!” Molly was so fired up, she almost tried to climb into the ring herself to pry them apart.
But the ring was way too high for that, no matter how hard she jumped. “Mia! Mia!”
Meanwhile, Mia shot her a smug look, her legs still firmly locked around Andre’s waist. “Andre, quit pretending. I know it’s you.”
Andre tried to pry her legs off, but Mia just locked them tighter behind his back, refusing to budge.
“Hmph! You stubborn man! Wouldn’t give me a secret shortcut, so you came up here to challenge me yourself?”
Andre sighed, knowing he’d been caught. “Get down,” he muttered.
Mia just grinned at the sound of his voice and clung on even tighter. “Nope. Not unless you give me a break.”
Andre’s hands hovered over her hips, torn between wanting to playfully smack her and remembering that half the world was watching.
Every eye in the place was glued to the couple in the ring—some squinting in disbelief, others craning their necks, some looking downright spellbound.
“I thought you wanted to win fair and square?” Andre grumbled.
“I do! But who says strategy isn’t fair?” Mia shot back.
“What kind of strategy is this?” Andre could barely keep a straight face.
“A classic seduction. Looks like it worked,” she whispered.
