Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 655

As Chad and Molly were heading out, Molly glanced back at Mia, her eyes reflecting a mix of uncertainty and longing.

Mia, holding her baby, waved goodbye with a gentle squeeze of her son's tiny hand.

Chad had a soft spot for the little one. Before driving off, he rolled down the window, clapped his hands, and mimicked a hug. The baby hesitated for a moment but then reached out towards Chad.

Seeing the adorable bundle, Chad couldn’t resist stepping out of the car for a proper hug. Nearby, Hansen chuckled and teased the newlyweds, "Chad, how about giving your dad a granddaughter next? We've got enough boys in the family; it’s time for a girl."

Holding Henry, Chad gently pinched his cheek, "What did you do to make grandpa not want another grandson?"

Henry puffed up his cheeks, clearly wondering how any of this was his fault.

Mia quickly defended her son, "That's all Leo’s doing, nothing to do with my boy. Uncle, don’t blame the little one."

Henry let out a couple of noises in agreement.

Andre, finding his son adorable, scooped him up. But within seconds, Bruce's arms were empty as the baby was passed back to his great-uncle. Leo came over to squish the baby's cheeks, while Anya held his tiny hand.

The little one fussed, clearly not enjoying the attention, just as Bruce sternly told his son, "If your hand feels itchy, chop it off!"

The baby pouted briefly but didn’t cry.

Chad had barely reached home when he got a call and had to leave again, driving off without even stepping inside.

Molly walked into the living room alone, and Colleen asked, "Where's your brother?"

"Summoned away," Molly replied before retreating to her bedroom.

**The Cedillo family.**

Andre watched his wife change their son's diaper and asked, "What were you and Molly chatting about this afternoon?"

"Women's talk. Why so curious?" Mia dodged the question.

Andre awkwardly scratched his nose and moved closer to the bed to lift his freshly cleaned and dressed son, placing him between them. The baby, excitedly looking around, switched his attention between his mom and dad.

Though they casually mentioned letting Hansen care for the baby at night, the couple never really intended to leave their little owl in someone else's care permanently. It was more of an occasional treat for Hansen. Most nights, the baby was snugly sandwiched between his parents.

Both Andre and Mia, busy with work and school during the day, cherished the evenings and weekends they could spend with their little one.

Andre, a first-time dad, had hoped to encourage his son to sleep alone from a young age, a plan that never materialized. He also intended to wean the baby off breastmilk by three months, yet here they were, four months in, and the baby was still happily nursing. Sometimes, the baby would pause mid-feed to smile at his dad before eagerly continuing his meal on Mia's lap, searching for his "food source."

Their parenting principles seemed to bend and adjust with their son's needs, even Andre's meticulousness about cleanliness waned in the face of his child's innocence. During baths, Andre would laugh off the warm streams that weren't from the showerhead, realizing his son had just peed on him.

At nine o'clock, their night owl's happiest hour came. Mia tried a trick she’d learned, using a soft tissue to gently brush across her son's face, a gesture that lulled him closer to sleep.

Within minutes, the baby's eyes began to droop, and soon after, he was sound asleep.

Mia joked, "Honey, you've got to use your cat-teasing skills on your son; works like a charm."

Andre replied, "I've only ever had one cat, and that was a big one."
