Sweet Mischief’s Rollercoaster Romance novel Chapter 712

"Whoever else tells you I'm going on blind dates, give me their number!" Leo's stern voice made Anya too scared to speak up, her voice soft and meek, not daring to look up at him. "It was... it was my dad who said it."

Leo: "..."

They sat in silence for a few minutes, Leo's chest burning with unvented anger. Then, as he started the car, he said, "I'm not going on blind dates."

Later, Leo called Molly to ask about a good restaurant.

Molly immediately shared her newest find with Leo, "The rose on the table is for couples. You can take it with you after your meal, remember to give it to Anya. When Chad and I went..."

Before she could finish, Leo hung up.

Molly, frustrated, put down her phone, "What kind of person does that? I hadn’t even started showing off my love yet."

Arriving at the restaurant, Leo parked the car and went to the passenger side to hold Anya's hand as they exited. "Come in for dinner, and then come with me to the office to work late."

Anya, as if facing Chad, couldn't refuse.

She was meekly pulled inside, and Leo, taking the rose from the table, forcefully stuffed it into Anya's bag. "Take it."

Anya: "..."

Anya didn't dare to bring up the topic of moving out again, as if Chad would be very unhappy.

In the evening, accompanying Leo to the office, she sat next to him as usual, but was quieter than before.

Andre had left with the child already, and when leaving, Henry started crying again. Andre gently consoled the child, a scene witnessed by everyone. Yet, the little one, no matter how gently his dad consoled, just kept crying.

Leo and Anya weren't curious about what happened to Henry, both preoccupied with their own thoughts.

When Leo drove Anya home later that night, under the moonlight, after turning off the car, he told Anya, who was about to get out, "Don't move out, and don't worry about anything else."

Anya responded with a soft "oh" and slowly went back to her room.

That night, the light in Leo's room stayed on until late, but he just sat there quietly, looking at the books on his desk, the dark screen of his computer, alone.

Anya sat on the stool at her dressing table by the window. The cool summer night breeze soothed her irritation and brought tranquility.

She leaned against the window, facing Leo's room, thinking about what her father said today, "Dad will find you a driver to take you to and from every day. If you're worried about safety, we'll hire a bodyguard for you. If you're lonely, your mom and I can take turns staying with you. You're a grown woman now, living in a place like the Cedillo family, it's not proper for others to see."

Hearing her father's words made Anya's heart tighten, feeling uncomfortable. When she mentioned it to Chad, she felt even worse.

"Chad, do you really not know what I'm feeling, or are you pretending not to know?" Anya murmured, feeling wronged. She didn't know how to chase after boys.

Later, not knowing what time it was, the light in Leo's room went out, but he didn't go to sleep right away. Instead, he sat there, head tilted back with closed eyes.

The next day, Andre dropped off both his wife and niece at school.

In the car, it was Mia talking alone, her little son now a handful, insisting on standing on his mom's lap in the car to look out the windshield. When tired, he'd cry to be held.

In the summer, Andre had to open the car's sunroof for his son to look out.

Mia, holding her son who couldn't understand her, complained about him all the way, "You don't sleep at night, wake up early in the day, if I hold you to sleep, I can't even turn over. You only cry, need to be fed, have a bad temper, yet everyone loves you. I really want to spank you~"

Henry, lying in his mother's arms, thinking she was praising him, smiled happily.

After dropping off the two, Henry looked at his mom leaving, his little mouth pouting again. Mia had to kiss her son twice before she could leave.

Before leaving, Mia bent down, rushed to the front seat, and quickly kissed her husband's face before running off.
