Chapter 164
Larissa’s actions surprised everyone. Being the first to recover. Kevan smirked. ‘ArghL’
He opened the door to the passenger seat for her, shielding her head with his hand until she was safely seated inside.
Lana trailed behind them. After checking his expression, she asked timidly. “Can you crop me off along the way Mr. Rogers?” “Didn’t Lucas cffer to drive you?” Kevan retorted.
Embarrassed, Lana’s expression fell.
“I told him not to bother me anymore,” she said, forcing herself to smile. “Even if he comes, I won’t pay any attention to him.’
Kevan didnt comment on that.
“We’re going in different directions,” he said, changing the subject without warning.
It left Lana confused, and Kevan took advantage of that time to get into the car. The Maserati pulled away, leaving an angry Lana behind. gritting her teeth as she lumed,
Just then, Dylan’s car pulled up beside her, tooting his horn twice. “Lana, do you need a ride to the subway station?”
Putting on an acl, Lana said, “Oh, that would be too much trouble for you.”
Before her hand could reach the car door, she heard Dylan say. “Never mind then if you don’t want to.”
Without warning, he floored the accelerator, and the car sped away like a bullet, leaving Lana in a cloud of exhaust fumes. Covering her mouth and nose, she stomped her feet in anger.
Meanwhile, Kevan was grinning widely in the Maserall appearing to be in a good mood.
“You did well he praised Larissa.
Larissa, on the other hand, was covered in goosebumps.
“Thank you,” she said. forcing herself to return his smile.
At noon, Larssa was in the cafeteria when she suddenly received a call from Kewan.
“Come to the croworks Building.”
He didn’t scurd very happy, and she could tell that he was trying to suppress his anger, Hs demeanor was completely different from when they’d last seen each other in the morning, and Larissa didn’t know who or what had provoked him. Nonetheless, she had learned not to ask anything and just do as he said.
“Alright,” she answered, obediently agreeing.
Before the call ended. Kevan added another request. “Bring me lunch.”

The food in the hotel caleteria was prepared by the restaurant’s kitchen staff. The ingredients were subpar, the taste was average, and presentation was lackluster. Hence, Larissa knew that Kevan wouldn’t be satisfied with the food.
Therefore, she went to a restaurant to get three sets of lunch-one for Kevan, one for hersell, and one for Dylan.
Just like before, she entered the Microworks Building and went up to the 69th floor. She must have left a deep impression during her last visit because no one dared to stop her this time. Everyone sal at their desks, pretending to be focused on their work, but secretly stealing glances at her.
Some of them exchanged looks, silently mouthing to each other, “What’s going on?”
However, Larissa didn’t notice any of this. She waked straight into Kewan’s office without looking around. Kevan, like everyone else in the presidential office, was still at his desk even during the lunch break,
Closing the door behind her. Larissa announced. Here’s your lunch, Mr. Rogers.”
