“I don’t know.” Kevan took off the apron. He usually communicated with Cody while Edmund had been studying abroad. He only came back when Kevan was in Covenford.

Roland didn’t host them in his main house but in an annex designated for entertaining guests. While it appeared like a regular living room. it was twice the size of a typical one.
As Larissa entered the room, she immediately noticed the presence of another woman besides Cody and Edmund, The woman sat obediently by Cody’s side, holding a teacup in her hand but did not take a sip.
“Grandpa, Cody, Ruby, Edmund.” Kevan took the initiative to greet them.
When the woman heard him, she instantly looked up and stared at him with a burning gaze. Her eyes seemed almost glued to his presence.
Observing Ruby’s reaction, Larissa couldn’t help but feel a sense of displeasure. In a deliberate move, she positioned herself closer to Kevan and even took hold of his arm. Kevan paused, glancing at her, and upon seeing her glare toward Ruby, he felt a warm and contented sensation in his heart, finding happiness in her possessive display.
