When Kevan returned from his bedroom, he noticed Ruby’s anxious expression and Larissa’s pale complexion. A sense of foreboding rose in his heart. 

“What happened?” he asked. 

Ruby burst into tears first. 

“Im sorry, I’m sorry!” she repeated incessantly, unable to say more. 

She covered her mouth, crying uncontrollably, tea’s streaking her face. 

Unable to stomach the sight, Larissa instructed Kevar, “Get her some issues to wipe “er lears.” 

Kevan quickly grabbed several tissues and stuffed them all into Ruby’s hands, 

“What about you?” He lowered his head to look at Larissa’s injured leg and asked. “Did you hurt your leg again?” 

“Aren’t you a genus? Larissa attempted to lighten the atmosphere. Kevan glared at her fiercely in response. 

He scooped her up in his arms, bridal style, carefully avoiding her injured leg. 

I take you to the hospital” 

He strade out and Ruby rushed after him, wiping away her tears. 

I’m going with you!” 

She seemed normal in the car, but as soon as they entered the emergency room, she started crying again, leaving everyone in the room baffled.

After handing her the payment slip, he called a nurse to wheel her upstairs in a wheelchair. 

The nurse chatted with her along the way. ‘Did you come alone?” 

Larissa smiled. “Yes.” 

The nurse sighed. “You’re really strong.” 

A bitter taste filed Larissa’s heart. Without anyone caring for her, what choice did she have but to learn to be strong?
