Sweet Subterfuge novel by Trina Duo novel Chapter 496

She'd frequently wondered if Kevan had not had that accident all those years ago, would Ruby not become so extreme? Maybe they could have lived together happily and blissfully as a family of three.

But it was no use dwelling on those things now.

Kevan frowned harder. "Forgetting Ruby is probably the only good thing about losing my memories," he said. "Heaven gave me a chance to right a wrong—to let me correct a mistake that I made before."

Larissa did not comment with regard to his words. "You may not think like this when you've recovered your memory."

He loved Ruby so deeply that when he remembered everything, the only thing left would probably be a huge sense of regret.

"I won't." Kevan's attitude was firm, and Larissa could not be bothered to argue with him.

Kevan suddenly asked, "Although … How is it that you know my past so well?" He eyed her skeptically. "You've met my grandpa, and are good friends with Dylan … Larissa, are you hiding something from me?"

His scorching gaze was rather sharp, so much so that it made Larissa look down guiltily.

"Have you forgotten that you're famous?" Her voice had quieted down considerably, and there was no confidence in it at all. "I've seen some of your things on the news, and I've heard Dylan mention a few things too."

She was clearly trying to distance herself from him.

Kevan was a little disappointed and angry at the same time, but he dared not to push her too hard. One day, when she found out that he did not truly lose his memory, everything today would be the perfect ammunition she could use to start a crusade against him. Of course, this was if she were still willing to talk to him.

"Is that so?" He pretended to accept her explanation before asking, "What else do you know about me? Could you tell me? Maybe it might help me recall a memory or two."
