Lewis had already instructed Frank on what to say and do when he met Xavier.
That day, Frank brought a trusted associate with him, who was disguised as a translator.
On the other hand, Xavier appeared with his loyal assistant, Ian, who had stayed by his side from the beginning.
The location of their meeting was in an executive suite at the Regal Dynasty Hotel, where Frank was staying. Lewis didn't dare to book Frank a room at the Winston Hotel for fear that Xavier would suspect foul play.
Lewis had his men set up hidden cameras in Frank's room beforehand, and everything happening in the room would be simultaneously transmitted to Lewis' computer in the adjacent suite.
Frank was wearing a discreet earpiece that was connected to Lewis so that he could direct Frank's every move without much difficulty.
Following Lewis' instructions, Frank received Xavier politely but without excessive enthusiasm.
Inviting Xavier and Ian to take a seat, he greeted them warmly in broken Caldorian.
This was the first time Frank had met Xavier. Before this, Frank had never even heard of his name. His knowledge of Xavier was solely based on Lewis's brief introduction. In Frank's imagination, Xavier would appear disheveled and downtrodden, just like any other person on the verge of bankruptcy.
However, it did not turn out as Frank had expected.
Dressed in an expensive tailored suit and shiny black shoes, Xavier appeared well-kept with his salt-and-pepper hair meticulously combed back. Compared to other people younger than him, he had a fuller hairline, making him look much younger than his age.
In the adjacent suite, Lewis was astonished when he saw Xavier as well.
Pondering as he rubbed his chin, it seemed that Xavier hadn't reached a dead end yet. In that case, he would give Xavier a hand.
