Chapter 685
The matter of Andrew suggesting stocks was found out immediately.
“Insider trading was illegal. Also, he was so obvious about it.
Andrew’s superior knew nothing about the higher–ups” games.
The superior fired Andrew at once and even called the police.
The police had already begun to investigate, and they were currently at the stage of looking for evidence.
The main person in charge only found out about all this from his subordinate when Kevan came over.
“My apologies, Mr. Rogers.” He carefully apologized, “I didn’t successfully keep an eye on him.”
“It’s his own problem,” Kevan naturally did not think that Andrew would have maintained good behavior just because someone was watching him. After all a leopard could not change its spots.
“Work well with the police in their investigation. Give them whatever they want.” Kevan paused before adding a stern warning. “Do not break the rules ever again.”
The main person in charge quickly agreed. “Yes, we definitely won’t!”
Once Kevan received the news that the reporters had been all chased away, he went to Winston Hotel.
He did not dare to be as obvious as before–there were many guests at the hotel so it was easy for his pictures to be taken. He went straight up to Larissa’s floor from the basement parking lot. There was practically no one else living on this floor. Relaxing a little. Kevan rang the doorbell
A little while later, Lewis sharp voice sounded from behind the door. “Who is it?”
Kevan replied loudly. “It’s me,” like he was scared that Lewis would not recognize him.
Once he had confirmed Kevan’s identity through the peephole. Lewis finally unlocked the door and let Kevan in.
“I was just going to find you.” Lewis murmured so Larissa would not hear him. “What is happening?”
Kevan closed the door behind him but did not respond to Lewis question. He peered inside the room and asked. “How’s Larissa? Is she okay?”
“Her fever is gone, and her mood isn’t too bad.” Other than the time when Janine appeared, Lewis did not note any big emotional changes from Larissa. In other words, she was very calm.
Kevan relaxed a little. “When are you two going back to Aldovia?” he asked again.
“Once I’m sure that Lari’s illness won’t come back, we’ll leave.”
Lewis had originally wanted to let Larissa stay for a little while longer to fix whatever it was she had with Kevan. But after that whole mess. Lewis was scared that more trouble would come to find them, so it was better to leave.
