Chapter 688
Kevan’s face was right in front of hers. His eyes were as fathomless as always. They contained a great deal of emotions that Larissa could not figure out
She stared at him and forgot to struggle.
Kevan deepened the kiss. One hand moved to the back of her head to stop her from moving.
Larissa’s eyes widened in panic. Her hands landed on his shoulders and pushed. But Kevan did not move. He only let her go when Larissa’s tongue felt numb. He leaned down to hug her waist. His chin rested on her shoulders. His face rubbed against her neck.
Larissa was stunned. A weird, tingling feeling ran throughout her whole body.
“Don’t say stuff like that.”
Kevan’s deep voice was filled with fragility.
“Don’t think of me that way.”
Larissa clenched the sheets in pain. Her heart was hurting so much.
“I have done many bad things,” Kevan confessed to her. “I don’t hope for you to forgive me. I only ask you to give me a chance to make it up to you and Aster.”

It was
for Larissa’s heart to go soft. Kevan’s humble look made her resolve faller. But —
“Aster and I will live in Aldovia”
Her family and her best friend were all there.
Kevan was not so important to her that she would abandon them all. Also, he would not abandon his business empire for her sake either.
“Our lives are perfect. We don’t need you to make anything up for us.”
All these years, with Wendy’s help. Larissa had raised Aster with ease. Aster did not lack anything else except fatherly love.
“I’ve been in talks with an Aldovian gaming company about buying them out. If it’s all settled, I will move the focus of my business there,” Kevan said.
It did not matter whether or not Gary would let Larissa come back to Caldor. Kevan could eliminate several troubles Larissa would face by just coming back to Caldor in the future. So, he had long decided to follow her to Aldovia. The talks for buying out this time had lasted for more than a year. They had finally reached an agreement.
“You don’t need to do that—“Larissa was a bit helpless. She was more fearful than happy. Even if Kevan said that he was trying to “make up for everything.” she could not bear the weight of his efforts.
“Your family is still here, and Dylan–She tried to persuade him to stay. But Kevan’s mind was made up. He refused to change it.
“My parents can come with me. Once they know that Aster is their grandson, I believe that they’ll be happier than me.”
Because of Cody’s deliberate actions, Kevan’s parents had been living a casual life of retirement a few years ago. His mother would sometimes raise Bethany, so she could still experience the feeling of raising a grandchild. Later, he hid Bethany away. Thus, Violet could not even have this to entertain hersell.
As for his father, he stayed home and read the newspaper every day. Otherwise, he would be watching television as well. His life was super boring indeed.
His parents were probably very bored by now because they kept calling Kevan to get him to come home for meals and hang out with them.
