Chapter 694
Kevan did not move. He seemed not to have heard Larissa’s words, and he did not even bother to look at her. He stared at the man in black rushing at him. The moment the man in black reached out Kevan swiftly grabbed the man’s wrist.
The man screamed in pain as the knife in his hand fell to the floor.
Kevan moved his foot and kicked the knife under the car parked nearby.
The man in black watched as the knife vanished under the car. Then, his eyes were filled with fear and hopelessness.
“You —” He just started to speak when his feet were suddenly off the floor. He had no time to react as his world turned wildly about. Then, his back slammed heavily onto the floor, and he felt like his spine was going to break. The man in black moaned in pain as tears spilled
down his cheeks.
Kevan slood next to him before dropping one loot onto the man’s chest while he gazed at him. “Who sent you?” he asked coldly.
The man refused to speak. Kevan pressed down harder with his fool, and the man screamed in pain again. “I can’t say! He’ll kill my whole
family!”
Kevan smiled coldly. “If you don’t say it—Aren’t you afraid that I will kill your whole family?”
The man in black froze as he stared at Kevan in disbelief.
“You should know, it’s easy for me to hire someone to kill people.” Kevan’s voice was calm. It was like he was only talking about something simple and not threatening another person with his family’s lives.
The man in black seemed to be weighing his options.
Kevan tossed out a bait. “I promise you as long as you cooperate with me, I will protect your family.”
The man in black’s eyes it up.
“Really?”
He began to waver.
*Relax, I’m more trustworthy than whoever it was who hired you.” Kevan sounded a little scomlul
The man in black was silent for a moment before he decided. “I believe you.”
“I’m Ronan, and I’m a security guard at the hotel. The one who asked me to kidnap Ms. Seymour is the assistant manager of the hotel Bryan Harrison.”
Kevan had plenty of guesses, but he did not expect this to be the true answer. He glanced at Larissa, who was still in the car. Her eyes were wide, and she was staring blankly at the man on the floor. She was clearly affected by it all
“I will see if you’re telling the truth,” Kevan said.
“If you don’t believe me, I have evidence with me, I can show you,” Ronan could not be bothered to conceal the truth at this point. He only
“Very well” Kevan agreed.
They had just made the deal when Lewis Inally arrived with a les policemen.
Seeing that the man in black was already under Kevan’s control, Lewis forced himself to feel relieved.
