Chapter 719
Larissa thought that the ordeal was over. Alas, when they walked out of that store, Lewis turned around and entered another store.
The whole process was repeated.
Larissa lost count of how many times she was bombarded by eager shop assistants. When Lewis finally said that they could go home, he
was weighed down by many paper bags.
Larissa had no energy to even respond to him.
Shopping was torturous!
“I was mistaken. I used to complain that the staff here gave me the cold shoulder. Now, I wish that they would ignore my existence.”
Larissa said.
The shop assistants were hankering to serve her. She couldn’t handle their enthusiasm.
“Ms. Seymour, you are now a VIP customer here. None of the shop assistants would dare give you the cold shoulder now.””Lewis gave her
awry smile. He gestured to the shopping bags in his hands
Larissa sighed. “In your opinion, is this one of the troubles that comes with being rich?”
“Are you already troubled by this?” Lewis found it funny, but after mulling over it, he felt sorry for Larissa.
Although Blue Star Shipping wasn’t as prosperous as Cosmic Entertainment, the Seymour family was considered rich by ordinary people.
Yet they couldn’t even provide for a little girl.
Gary’s feelings toward Yvette were more complicated. Their relationship couldn’t be explained in a few words. In contrast, Lewis had nothing but pure hatred for Yvette.
That vain, evil woman had harmed two of his closest family members. Lewis felt that death wasn’t enough of a punishment for her evil
deeds.
“You better prepare yourself. You’ll have more troubles in the future.” Lewis carried all the bags in one hand and patted Larissa’s head with
the other.
He and Gary would shower Larissa in love.
Lewis’ eyes had a hint of amusement when he noticed the worried frown on Larissa’s face.
New gowns, bags, and shoes were piled up into a heap in the living room. Wendy had completely forgotten about her disagreement with Larissa yesterday. She took gown after gown and held them up to her chest, chattering away.
“Wow, Ms. Seymour! Now that you’re rolling in money, don’t forget your old friend who has been there for you since the beginning!
“I will never forge! you.” Larissa sat on the sofa with Aster in her lap. She stared as Wendy rummaged through shopping bags of various sizes. Wendy looked exactly like Aster on the day when he received a pile of toys from Gary.
“If you find anything you like, just take it.”
Larissa had already picked out her gown for the banquet so the rest of the dresses were ignored.
Luckily, Wendy and Larissa had similar builds.
They usually shared clothes.
“Really? Coincidentally, I’m attending an industry summit next week. There will be formal c ocktail parties there. I’m already worried sick over what to wear! Lan, you are my savior
Wendy ran over to Larissa and hugged her, planting a kiss on her cheek.
Larissa wiped Wendy’s saliva off her cheek in disgust and gave Aster a knowing look.
“Mommy, can I sleep with you tonight?” Aster rested his head on Larissa’s shoulder and peered up at her with anticipation.
would not let go of her.
“Sure!” Larissa patted his chubby cheeks and ran her lingers over his smooth skin.
At the same time, she felt a lump in her threat. Wendy’s words had struck her deeply. It was impossible to ignore the nagging feeling she tell
Anyway, the only thing she could do now was to spend more time with Aster.
“Yay!”
Aster jumped down from Larissa’s arms in joy and ran to his bedroom to look for his phone.
“Ill video cal Daddy right now! After this, let’s go to bed!”
