Chapter 827
She found her phone on the bedside table.
It was already 11:00 am.
Kevan was nowhere to be found.
Larissa turned on the lights. She noticed a set of clean clothes placed beside her pillow,
Kevan had prepared that for her in advance.
A warm feeling filled her heart. Still, the warmth vanished as she felt a soreness spreading throughout her body.
In her mind. Larissa cursed. “That assholer
She struggled to put on the clothes. Alas, the crew–neck sweatshirt was unable to hide the hickeys Kevan planted on her neck.
Cursing again, she put on a thick layer of concealer to cover the red marks on her skin.
When Larissa emerged, Aster was eating alone in the dining room.
Kevan and Wendy were nowhere to be seen.
She asked in a hoarse voice, “Where are your dad and your godmother?”
“Daddy went to the study to take a call, I don’t know where Godma is. I haven’t seen her since I woke up.” Aster replied. He asked with concern, “Mommy, are you sick? Why is your voice so hoarse?”
Larissa blushed and came up with an excuse. Im not sick just a little parched. I’ll be fine after drinking some water.”
Aster was still young and innocent, so it was easy to deceive him.
“You should go and freshen up! I pour you a glass of water so you can drink it after washing up!”
As he said that, he got down from the chair and ran to the kitchen.
After Larissa finished washing up, she found a glass of lukewarm water on the dining table. It was just the perfect temperature.
“Thank you. Aster.”
She bent down and planted a kiss on Aster’s cheek.
“How about me?” Kevan’s voice rang out behind her, startling Larissa.
She turned around to glare at him and asked, “What do you mean?”
Kevan walked up to her and embraced her. He pointed to his cheek. “My good morning kiss.”
His affectionate gestures were natural and seamless. It was as if he had done this countless times before.
Alas, Larissa was the complete opposite.
They were a couple in the past and she had decided to marry Kevan once again. Still, Larissa was unaccustomed to his intimate actions.
She fell awkward whenever Kevan got close to her, but she never once felt repulsed by him.
Embarrassed. Larissa pushed him away and said in a low tone, “Stop messing around!”
Kevan moved in closer and chuckled. “I’m not messing around. Since you won’t kiss me. I’ll kiss you instead. It’s no different.” He pecked her on the cheek and pulled back.
Larissa glared at him in annoyance. “Can’t you behave properly?”
She cautiously glanced at Aster to see his reaction, but he seemed calmer than Larissa expected. He was unfazed, as if he was accustomed to such interactions.
Larissa narrowed her eyes. This wasn’t a good sign.

Larissa smiled. “Sure.”
Wrapping his
