"I'll return to work tomorrow and get Aster back." Larissa tried her best not to look any further down his neck so that she could focus on what she needed to say. "I might need you to check on the hired help."
She had contacted an agency earlier on the Internet.
A hired help would be sent over tomorrow to take care of Wendy until Larissa finished work.
Despite the agency's assurance, Larissa couldn't help feeling uneasy as the hired help was still a complete stranger.
Hence, she got Kevan to keep an eye on that person.
"Okay," Kevan said, taking off the bath towel wrapped around the lower part of his body before Larissa could react.
"Hey!" Flustered, Larissa immediately covered her eyes with her hands. "Can you not be like this?"
Kevan didn't care about it too much. He calmly walked over to the edge of the bed and put on his pajamas. "Well, this isn't your first time seeing it."
Larissa was rendered speechless.
"How is Aster doing at your dad's place?" he asked.
Larissa only allowed him to lay on the bed after he had finished putting on his clothes.
Kevan hadn't seen Aster for three days.
He dared not have a video call with his son, fearing that Gary would find out that he was staying with Larissa.
Hence, he could only get the latest updates about Aster from Larissa.
"He is literally having the time of his life!" Larissa sneered. "He doesn't even want to go home now. What a brat!"
Larissa apologized to her on the messaging app and even wrote a note to her. However, Marilyn still treated her coldly. Although she didn't mention forgiving Larissa, she didn't say anything like severing ties with the latter either.
Lewis had gone to Egron on a business trip, so Larissa didn't look for him at noon. After taking her lunch, she followed behind Marilyn and headed to the conference room where they often went.
Marilyn sat down with a long face and ignored Larissa.
Larissa approached her and apologized to her another time. "I have had some family matters to deal with recently. My phone is missing too; that is why I didn't reply to your messages."
Her old phone had been taken away by Edmund, and she had no idea where it was at the moment. Right now, she was using the phone that Kevan had bought for her at the airport.
"If you want, you can save my new number."
Larissa put her new phone on the table. It was the same model as her previous phone, only the color was slightly different.
