Chapter 903
Aster looked like he was happier to see Kevan than he was to see Larissa.
Larissa sneered coldly with jealousy. “Oh, so now you’re happy, huh? I don’t even know who it was who said he ‘loved Grandpa the most
at Grandpa’s place and that compared to Daddy, he still loved Grandpa the most.”
Larissa had intended to put a wedge between Kevan and Aster. Alas, they did not fall into her trap.
Aster defended himself “Grandpa is older! Of course, I need to make him happy!”
Kevan patted Aster’s head proudly as he praised the kid. “Well done, you did the right thing.”
Aster was smugger than ever.
Larissa was unhappy as she asked. “Then if I asked you
you to choose right now, do you love me or love your daddy?”
“I love Mommy!” Aster did not have any trouble answering at all as his response was immediate. “Mommy, you’ve asked this so many times!”
He eyed Larissa with great scom. He did not bother hiding it.
“Uh…” Larissa carefully thought about it. She seemed to have asked him this question before. But Larissa was still upset since her own son hurt her like this.
“What’s wrong with asking you a few more times? Can’t I ask? I just love asking you this question. I will still ask you a hundred, thousand. million times!
Larissa pinched Aster’s ear hard as she pretended to be threatening.
Aster pouted as he whispered to Kevan. “Mommy is so troublesome, Daddy. You’ve spoiled her.”
Kevan smiled a little. “Yup, so you must listen to Mommy more next time so I can spoil her less.”
“Yoo, who came back?” Wendy’s weak voice was heard.
“Godma!” Aster leaped out of Kevan’s arms and glared at Wendy, which was a surprising change from the way he usually treated his godma.
Wendy’s body was still weak. Although she could walk around, she could only do it slowly. She barely made it to Aster’s side. She pinched his fat little face and asked with amusement, “What’s wrong?”
Aster gave her a look that screamed. “You really have to ask?” before retorting. “Do you still remember that horrible thing you did on Sunday afternoon?”
Wendy immediately remembered how she had left him behind at the restaurant-even though she had not really wanted to.
Wendy laughed sheepishly as she struggled to crouch down and look at Aster at the same height
“I’m so sorry, my darling boy.” She apologized sincerely. “Godma didn’t mean to do it. Something happened that day, so. But I’m definitely in the wrong. So, what do you want Godma to do to make it up to you?”
“I will tell you after I’ve figured it out.” Aster was still stone-laced as he talked about how upset he was. “Don’t you know that I was almost scared to death that day! A bad guy nearly came to take me away! Thankfully, I’m such a smart boy and knew to call Mommy! Thankfully, Mommy and Uncle Lewis came quickly! Hmph!”
“Sorry, sorry, sorry!” Wendy hugged him to comfort him. “Godma was wrong. Next time, Godma will never leave you alone no matter what happens!
Wendy was still scared whenever she thought of what happened that day. But as Aster said, it was good that Larissa had come on time- no matter if it came to saving Aster or saving Wendy.
“Alright then!” Aster decided to make himself accept Wendy’s apology. “I’ve forgiven you!” He hugged her back and patted her back like she always did.
“Don’t feel sad. I still like you.” Aster said seriously.
