Chapter 905
Upon seeing Wendy. Edmund’s blank eyes brightened up immediately. He forced a pained but ugly smile onto his face. “Wendy! You camel “He was quite happy.
“Yeah.” Wendy was just as professional as Larissa when it came to take smiling.
Edmund did not notice anything amiss. After he asked after her he anxiously moved into the main topic. “You said you wanted to drop the case before
“I went to the police station.” Wendy held the hand that Edmund reached out as she forced down the feelings of disgust. “Hut the police said that I was not the one who made the case. so I can’t be the one to drop it.” Wendy acted appropriately sad, helpless, and hurl
Edmund fraze before he asked, “You didn’t find Larissa?
“I won’t find Larissa ever again!” Wendy gritted her leeth as she said angrily. “She and Kevan made you end up like this. Whenever I think of her name, I get disgusted! I have already decided to stop being friends with her!”
Edmund was a little panicked. “But If you don’t find her, how are you going to get the case dropped?”
“Edmund, I’ve thought about it.” Wendy could not stand for long, so she took a chair and sat near the bed. “Instead of going to find Larissa and beg her to drop the case, why don’t we find a lawyer and countersue them instead?
“The police told me that when Kevan reported the case, he used you kidnapping Larissa as the reason. But you didn’t kidnap her at all, right? So, we wil sue them for making a false police report, wasting resources, as well as ruining your reputation.”
Edmund thought that Wendy would go back and have a big gfight with Larissa, forcing Larissa to go to the police station and drop the case.
After all from all the information he got Wendy was Larissa’s best friend, and Larissa could knowingly throw herself into a trap for Wendy‘
To Edmund Larissa would definitely agree to Wendy’s “little” request. But he never expected things to go wrong on Wendy’s end. He did not think that Wendy would abandon her friendship with Larissa for several years because of Fim–to the point that she refused to even go.
ind Larissa.
“This fucking stupid idiot of a woman,” Edmund sneered to himsell coolly, but he still had to act like he was soothing Wendy.
“Isn’t this not too good of a thing? He pretended to think for Wendy’s sake. “You’ve been friends with Larissa for so long. Even if there are some unhappy things, you have no need to turn things into such a bad state, huh?
“Truth be told, it’s not Larissa’s fault that I ended up like this–it’s all Kevan’s lault. Don’t blame Larissa for everything.”
“Didn’t you say that Kevan beat you because he wanted to warn you to stay away from Larissa?” Wendy used Edmund’s own words to shut him up. “So, in other words, this whole thing started because of Larissa, if it weren’t for her, Kevan would not have beaten you up.”
“It might not be true.” Edmund anxiously retorted. ‘Kevan hates me anyway. He can lind any reason to beat me up. It’s the same even
without Larissa”
Wendy frowned hard and looked at Edmund in conlusion. “Then what do you mean? Do you want me to be good friends with Larissa
again?
Edmund was worned that Wendy might hate the idea as well as get suspicious of him. So he looked down and pretended to act weak. “No
I just don’t want you to lose your best friend because of me.”
