Chapter 988
There was a massive suitcase in Lewis‘ office. Lewis knocked on it proudly. “Wanna see?”
“It’s our working hours. Larissa remembered the lessons taught to her by her cold superior at all times. “We cannot do anything unrelated to work.”
“I get to say whether or not something is related to work,” Lewis couldn’t care less about the fact that he was eating his own words. He simply put the suitcase down and got down on one knee.
Larissa could not resist the temptation as she went closer to look.
Lewis had brought back a hell of a lot of presents. So much that a whole suitcase got stuffed full with it. Clothes, bags, jewelry, cosmetics -there was everything, and they were all expensive luxury items.
“Is our company
really in a crisis?” Larissa stared at Lewis with suspicion. With the money he had spent — he did not lock like he was going through a fucking crisis at all.
“It’s cheaper to buy things from there. It’s rare for me to go too,” Lewis explained. He moved aside so that Larissa could see everything clearly. “The adult stuff is all yours, the kids‘ stuff is Aster’s. See if you like them.”
Larissa was just a regular woman, How could she not like all the things that drive women crazy?
“It’s good if you live them.” Lewis was happy ico.
“Remember to take this suitcase with you after work” Lewis instructed her.
“Okay.” Larissa had opened up all the gifts and then put them all back in their original packaging.
“Lewis-” She looked up and batted her eyelashes at Lewis. She partially begged and flattered her cousin as she asked. “Can I pick some and gift them to my friend?”
Lewis was generous. “Of course. They’re all yours. You can do whatever you want with them.”
If it were not for the fact that her age did not allow her to co such a thing, Larissa would have done the same thing Aster did–jump up with joy and hug Lewis belare kissing him, Larissa tock out two bags from the suitcase and went cut of the door.
Marilyn noticed the obvious logos on the bag packaging and she covered her mouth and exclaimed in a low voice. “Oh my god. Larissa! Mr. Logan Junior even bought bags for you?”
“Not just for me.” Larissa smiled as she put one of the bags on Marilyn’s table. “It’s for us. You have one too.”
“Really?” Marilyn’s eyes were wide with surprise. She excitedly took the bag out of the packaging. “Wow! It’s this season’s limited edition! Mr. Logan Junior is so nice!”
Marilyn kept touching the bag before she carefully put it back inside the packaging. “This is the first present I’ve gotten from Mr. Logan Junior since I joined Olue Star Shipping. I’ve got to keep it carefully!” she said seriously.
Her overreaction amused Larissa. “Is Mr. Logan Junior usually such a cheapskate?”
