Chapter 932
Kevan handed the phone over to Violet deliberately,
“Lari are you done with your work?” Violet was extremely enthusiastic.
Startled, Larissa took some time to reply, “Mrs. Rogers, I don’t have work today.”
“That’s perfect! Hurry up and bring Larl over for dinner! You will be just in time for a meal at home! Violet urged Kevan.
Kevan’s voice could be heard through the phone as he spoke helplessly, “Mom, Larl hasn’t agreed to come yet.”
“Oh, right! Lari, are you coming for dinner? Violet asked Larissa’s opinion after she was reminded by Kevan.
In fact, Larissa didn’t really want to travel that far.
In addition, it was a little awkward to deal with Kevan’s parents. However, since they had already spoken, she couldn’t refuse their request directly.
It would make them feel bad.
“I’ll go.” she said sweetly.
“Did you hear that? Hurry up! Don’t waste time!” Violet punched Kevan triumphantly and handed the phone back to him.
The collaborating party had booked rooms in the third–best hotel in Bartham for Larissa and Lewis.
The first ranked hotel was the Regal Dynasty Hotel and the second was the Winston Hotel respectively.
Because of Larissa’s history with both hotels, Lewis had them book the third–best hotel.
The hotel was large in scale, but its location wasn’t ideal. It was located in a remote but scenic area, so there were few visitors on regular days.
It took some time for Kevan to arrive in his car.
Larissa applied some light makeup as she was going to meet Kevan’s parents. She informed Lewis that she was heading out through WhatsApp. Then, she took her bag and left.
Kevan’s car was parked at the entrance, attracting the attention of everyone with its ur que license plate.
When Larissa got in the car, she complained to Kevan, “Why didn’t you stop your mom? This place is so far from your house –
Kevan leaned over and fastened her seatbelt. He replied nonchalantly, “My mom misses you. If she doesn’t get to see you, she will nag me
all day.”
“Don’t you have work today? Didn’t you go to the office? Larissa was puzzled.
“No. Today is Aster’s first day at my parents‘ house, I was afraid that he might not be able to adapt.”
That was somewhat true.
“I’ve given you a lot of trouble,” Larissa remarked sincerely.
Kevan gave her a meaningful look. “Since I’ve worked so hard, how are you going to reward me?” he asked deliberately, a hint of
amusement in his voice.
Larissa’s face turned bright red from embarrassment. It was lucky that she was wearing a mask that hid her blushing cheeks, so her
awkwardness wasn’t so obvious.
“How about I treat you to a meal?” she pretended to not understand what he meant.
Kevan agreed readily. “Sure, but I will decide on what to eat,” he trailed off in a suggestive tone.
