Chapter 958
“Judy’s gone just like that?” Larissa asked Lewis. “I thought you said that you were going to bring me along for the meeting?”
“They didn’t want you there.” Lewis said.
“Why? What did they say? Larissa was curious about what Lewis, Judy, and her lawyer had talked about.
“Judy wants to use the identity of Moorewell’s say in exchange for us not holding her accountable for violating her contract.” Lewis pushed the settlement agreement from Judy’s lawyer to Larissa.
“Spy? Who?” Larissa got excited. However, Lewis only stared at her with a mysterious smile.
“What’s with that smile? Larissa was confused. Lewis still said nothing but his smile grew deeper.
“It can’t be “Larissa had a feeling, and when she thought about Judy’s weird actions today“She told you I was the spy?”
Lewis clapped his hands together.
“Congratulations! You got it right
“You believed her?” Larissa asked anxiously.
Lewis gave her a deadpan expression. “So, in your heart, I’m an idiot?”
“Well no.” Larissa sighed in relief before asking again, “What did she say?”
“She said that your employment was a ploy. When you came, you used her dark past to threaten her, and you forced her to work with you. Even her dismissal was your plan. Lewis used the shortest way possible to summarize what Judy had said. “There were many holes in
her story, but I pretended to believe her.”
“So, you plan to tire me next? Larissa could guess what Lewis might do next.
Judy’s motive in taking such great pains to set Larissa up was clearly meant to protect the true mole as well as take revenge for the
previous incident.
The mole would only relax after Larissa was fired, and therefore give themselves away.
“Yes.” Lewis nodded. “Try practicing your act. Later, when you go out, you must show how angry and sad you are, or other similar
reactions.
I
“As today’s situation is special, I will allow you to curse at me–but they can’t be too bad, otherwise I’ll deal with you later.”
“Sure.” Larissa nodded. “Acting is easy.”
“Oh, yeah–don’t tell Marilyn anything.” Lewis reminded her. “The lewer who know about this, the better.”
