Dawson was sitting in the armchair, holding the handle of the ceramic cup, which probably contained tea that would make him admire.
Seeing Lillian come in, Dawson hurriedly waved hands at her and said, “Come here, Lillian. Archibald brought some fancy tea, have a try.”
Lillian took a squint at Archibald when squeezing her lip. She was wondering whether he invited her simply for a cup of tea.
“What are you doing? Come and sit here!” Noticing Lillian remain still, Dawson urged.
After Lillian sitting down, Dawson made her a cup of tea in person, “Try it.”
Lillian knew that Dawson was fond of drinking tea and it probably accounted for why he was so delighted today. She couldn’t help glancing Archibald and thought he was really good at roping in others!
Lillian took a sip and Dawson immediately asked her whether it tasted good. She was not a tea-lover and only thought it smelled good. Hence, she nodded to show politeness, “It tastes good.”
Someone came in the room to look for Dawson. He stood up and said to them with a smile, “I’m sorry. There’s something I need to handle. Never mind, nobody will come to this room to bother you.”
“Okay.” Archibald finally said something.
Dawson’s gaze as well as his words of saying no one would bother made Lillian suddenly realized Dawson must know her rumours with Archibald and treated her as Archibald’s girlfriend.
Dawson’s behaviour made her really upset because it seemed that all advantages she got were related with Archibald. However, this was the truth, which made her even more upset.
“Lillian, I told you to wait for me after yesterday’s show and I would drive you home. Why did you leave without waiting for me?” Archibald asked when trying to sit close to her. It seemed that they were really in a relationship.
Lillian frowned when hearing his words. Since that night, Archibald began to call her nickname and tried to show they were close, which kept reminding her of what happened on that night.
She stood up and went beside the window when staring outside, “Archibald, I want to meet Benedict.”
Archibald also walked beside her and asked when looking her from above, “Why?”
Lillian looked at him in the eyes and said angrily, “Because it was him who gave the wine and it must be him who put medicine in it.” Now she thought Benedict was only lying to her by apologizing. It could tell from his appearance that he was the type of person who looked to do filthy things.
She also clearly remembered that he appeared when she was going to fail to the swimming pool. Although she couldn’t remember what happened next, she could be sure that the men Benedict called wanted to ruin her, which made her scared even by recalling it.
Archibald put both of his hands to the pocket and looked out of the window when squinting his dark eyes, “You don’t have to meet him. I have already investigated this thing and found the wine he gave you was nothing wrong. It was the fruit wine which was added in medicine.”
“That glass of fruit wine?” Lillian was confused because she didn’t know who called to waiter to send her that glass of fruit wine.
