Take Me Away novel Chapter 74

F City International Jewelry Exhibition had solemnly commenced at the exhibition center. State-level jewelry experts were there to present free jewelry identification and consultations. The event was an exhibition that included more than four hundred jewelry companies from more than twenty countries and regions. The activities included lottery draws, the gambling of stones, a jewelry show, a jewelry auction, a jade carving selection, and others.

.As Fiona walked into the hall, she was immediately attracted to all the shining items.

The purchasing department headed to look for the jade stones, while Fiona gradually was separated from the team. She found herself alone in front of the jewelries.

She saw a ring that was drawn to, with a six-point diamond on it. She couldn't help herself; she had to look it at a few more times.

The exhibition host approached Fiona, stood in front her and asked with a smile, "Hello miss, are you interested in this ring?"

Fiona straightened up and nodded slightly. "I saw the ring and I noticed that its shape is very unique. I thought it should have a special meaning, that's why I couldn't help but look at it a few more times."

"I see. What do you think this ring means?" the staff asked her, enthusiastically.

Fiona thought about it, and then answered, "I think that it looks like a melted iceberg, which to me would symbolize the arrival of spring. And spring represents the birth of love, doesn't it? So I think this should be a wedding ring? Does it symbolize true love?"

"Wow, you are so awesome! You are absolutely right!" the staff said to her excitedly. "Miss, you seem to know so much about jewelry at such a young age."

"The designer of your company is very talented for having designed such a wonderful piece of work," Fiona praised. "I've been here for quite a while. I'm sorry to bother you."

"Of course not, not at all." The staff warmly took out a small velvet box from behind the display stand. "This is a gift for you. We actually have a pair of the rings. Well, these are only counterfeits. Please accept them."

As soon as she opened the box, Fiona saw two shining rings.

She happily took the rings and headed for another exhibition booth to find more knowledge and inspiration. When she took the pair of rings, she couldn't help but think of Spencer. 'Should I give the man's ring to him?' she thought. 'Would it be too cheap? He is an arrogant man. He would probably despise me.'

For the whole day and a half that the event had taken place, Fiona spent plenty of time wandering around the exhibition center. She didn't leave there until the day came when they had to go back to M City.

On their way back, Fiona was standing in the end of the crowd. She kept the distance between her and Charles as far as possible.

Nothing significant happened on the way. That was, not until they got on the plane, where Fiona found Charles was assigned to the seat next to her. He had been in the business class when he came to F City, but why was he now in the economy class all of a sudden?

While Fiona thought about this, Charles seemed to know what she was thinking. "There is no seat in the business class. It's fully booked."

"No seats?" She raised her eyebrows in doubt. She thought that Charles could easily book a business class seat with his money. What he said just didn't make sense.

"Don't think too highly of me. There are many things that I can't do as well," Charles flatly said, as he fastened his seat belt.

Fiona couldn't describe her feelings. Charles should know her thoughts. 'He is horrible!' she thought.

Meanwhile, at the Four Seasons Scenery of M City

Spencer looked around the empty room, dressed in his leisure home wear.

After Fiona hung up the phone that day, she never contacted him again, so he was angry at her all the time. But when he came back to their apartment, she had already gone to the jewelry show, and he no longer had a chance to vent his anger on her.

Moreover, he felt sorry for himself as he recalled that last night for dinner, he cooked instant noodles in the apartment, alone!
