In the dark, dim room, a man wearing a sinister-looking mask fiddled with the rosary in his hand, his presence equally sinister and creepy.

Even Varian, who had been by his side for so long, felt a chill as he respectfully reported, "Master, we've just received news that Yvette and her group are currently tracking down Wesley Carrom's whereabouts."

"Wesley Carrom?" The man's eyes darkened, and he asked in a hoarse voice, "Why is she looking for Wesley?"

Varian's expression shifted slightly at the question, and he replied uncertainly, "About that… We're not too sure ourselves, master."

As soon as he finished speaking, the displeasure of the masked man's face sent a chill up his spine, so he hurriedly added, "But don't worry, master! We gave Wesley a complete makeover after the incident, so he's been living under a new identity all these years. It'll be impossible for Yvette to find him!"

However, the man's displeased expression didn't fade away at his words. Instead, a sharp gaze landed on him.

"Who gave you the idea that I didn't want her to find Wesley?"

The man's lips curved up in a smile under the mask, but somehow it only looked indescribably creepy.

"Of course, we're going to deliberately feed them information, allowing Yvette to find Wesley."

"What?" Varian was shocked, asking uncomprehendingly, "Master, if Yvette is looking for Wesley in order to investigate the incident from the past, won't all your efforts from back then be for nothing if she finds him?"

"You idiot!" the masked man snapped, expression dark. "Leaking information so that she finds Wesley is simply bait with which we'll reel her in."
