Sahil's POV
We both came out of the room, Swati was standing there near my door. She looked very tensed.
" Hey, sweetie... Why are you tensed??" I asked her.
" Bhai... Please don't be angry with Samar Ji... " She said.
" Dad wants you to get married to this idiot, but I will not let him force you for this. Tell me if you don't want to marry him or if you like someone else. "
" Er... umm... No bhai... I am fine with that. " She said with her eyes downwards. She seemed more interested in the floor design. The tint of her face turned a delicate pink.
She looked so cute and beautiful.
" No need to give into, what dad wants, I don't think this stupid Samar is good enough to be your life partner. "
" No bhai... dad didn't force me... I am ok with it. I like him. " she said shyly.
Awwww... My sweet little doll has grown up and has found a prince charming for her too.
" But sweetie, I know him since childhood, he has always been madly in love with some... Hey, Samar !! Did you tell her about your first love?? " I asked.
" What?? What first love ?? There is no one else. What are you talking about Sahil?? No Swati, I swear there is no one in my life. You are the only one, I love. I swear cupcake... He is kidding. " Samar was shocked.
" Cupcake??? Hmmm, see he is even giving you a hint, Sweetie."
" Is that true? What is bhai saying, Samar Ji?? " Swati was almost on the verge of crying.
She really loved my idiot, but sweet best friend.
" Sahil, what are you doing yaar?? Ok, you tell her about my first love if you know... " Samar looked helpless.
Good to see you like this for once, Mr lawyer.
" Of course, I know your first love. It has always been good food... See he even calls you a cupcake. " I said and started laughing like a lunatic.
" Bhai... I hate you... I will not talk to you... " she pouted and turned her back towards me.
" Awww... but I love you, sweetie... On a serious note, he would always keep asking you to make food for him. You would have to spend at least half of your life discussing and cooking food. He is a die-hard foodie. "
" I don't mind bhai... " She said and the hugged me shyly.
" You are too much Sahil... Idiot. " Samar said and shook his head.
" Saale, main idiot nahin tu idiot. ( I am not an idiot you are... )" I said.
" Here you are wrong. I may be an idiot but.....Tu mera sala hai main tera nahin..... saala mujhe Sagar bol sakta hai, tu nahin. .( In Hindi, wife's brother is called as saala. But it is also used as a light swearing word. Friends usually call each other like that in Friendly banters.) ( So Samar is saying that Sagar can call him Saala but he can't. As Sahil and Sagar would be Samar's saala, once he gets married to Swati)."
He said and we all laughed at that.
" By the way, I was shocked, when a girl picked up your phone in the morning. I wanted to go there and personally beat you to a pulp. I felt that everything we did got wasted. But then she said that she was Manu... I was so pleasantly surprised. I was so shocked that I almost asked what was she doing there, while you were in washroom. " Samar said again.
" What?? " Swati said.
" Hey... But I bit my tongue and changed the topic. I asked why she went away from here without meeting me. And that I missed her... "
" I could give you a punch for it. "
" C'mon yaar ... I am not interested in your wife. But she is a lovely girl and we all miss her. Isn't it Swati? " Samar said and Swati nodded.
" Hmmm... I love her... and very soon she would be with me. "
"She is not angry with you anymore? "
" Not that much... Though Vikram punched me trice Sandhya bhabhi made him understand my case and hence she helped me a lot. Now they both are with me. " I said and that idiot started laughing again.
" What is there to laugh about, you moron ?? "
" Saale...tune mujhe kitna mara...tere saale ne tujhe maara...( You punched me, you would be brother-in-law and your brother-in-law punched you. ) "
He kept laughing as if it was the funniest joke of the century. Swati was trying to control her laughter, scared that I might do it again but she failed miserably looking at Samar who had literally gone mad laughing at that.
Finally, she also burst out laughing. I shook my head at that and their contagious laughter affected me too. I joined them.
Once we all became normal, he asked, " What about Manu?? Has she accepted you well?? "
" No... But has started getting a bit normal around me. Though she keeps glaring, she cares for me too. It is just a matter of time. "
" We are so happy for you bhai. " Swati hugged me.
" And I am happy for you... Just a bit worried as you fell for this idiot. "
