A scene straight out of a drama just ended.
Eloise quickly dashed out of the coffee shop.
She and Callum were done, but she landed herself in an even bigger mess.
Harvey swiftly came over, grabbing her wrist, "Eloise."
Eloise bit her lip lightly, "Are you out of your mind?"
The situation was beyond embarrassing!
He was totally…
Even if she and Callum couldn’t be a couple, they could still be friends. But this situation was just too embarrassed.
Harvey was pissed too.
He forcefully pushed Eloise against the car.
His fingers traced over her face, and with a slow yet dangerous voice, he asked, "Do you care for him? Eloise...I've been watching you guys, don't you care about me?"
As he spoke, jealousy was clearly written all over his face.
He gently held her chin, uncomfortably asking, "Have you kissed him?"
Eloise angrily slapped him.
After the slap, she slightly lifted her face, waiting for his retaliation, knowing well that Harvey's temper wasn't the best.
Harvey was indeed pissed, but he would never hit a woman.
He touched his face, surprisingly still managing to laugh.
"Eloise, I've told you before, you only dare to lose your temper at me!"
Even though they had been apart for a long time, being in close distance now, he couldn't help but tease her a bit, his voice turning husky with desire.
"Eloise, let's give it another shot!"
As he spoke, he kissed her ear.
Eloise stiffened.
Even though Harvey had mentioned this before, she didn't want to think about it, didn't dare to. But now that he brought it up again, Eloise had to take it seriously.
She gently pushed him away, whispering, "Harvey, it's impossible for us now!"
Harvey took a step back, his deep eyes looking at her fragile state.
"Why is it impossible? Weren't we happy together? Did you ever truly like Callum?"
Eloise slowly straightened up.
She looked at him, firmly declaring, "Even without Callum, there would be other men! Harvey, you were the one who dumped me, and now you expect me to crawl back to you just because you want to give it another shot? If I did that, I would lose all respect for myself!"
She took a deep breath, continuing to speak.
"We're over! Don't look for me in the future, and stop doing all these weird things, or else…"
Harvey chuckled.
He lit a cigarette, nonchalantly retorting.
"Or else what? Going to accuse me of sexual harassment?"
Eloise got mad again.
She tried to get into her car, but Harvey grabbed her arm.
Blowing a smoke ring towards her, he casually said with a smile, "Ms. Laurent, I helped you out and you couldn't even say thank you. How cold-hearted!"
Eloise was very aware of his tricks.
She shook off his hand, got into the car, and drove away.
Harvey didn't get angry, standing there slowly smoking, his eyes and eyebrows full of a mature man's charm…
Callum came out, passing by him.
Harvey squinted slightly, laughed, and then got into his car and left.
Eloise and Callum broke up.
She called Michelle, updating her on the current situation.
Michelle listened silently for a while, and then said, "If you guys aren't meant to be, then don't force it."
Eloise answered softly.
Michelle seemed to want to say something else, but didn't.
She'd already received a call from Delilah, who was obviously upset about something and mentioned something about Harvey. But since Eloise didn't bring it up, Michelle didn't ask further.
Eloise ended the call.
