Tangled Temptations novel Chapter 191

When Harvey said so, Denise had nothing to refute. She always felt that Harvey did this on purpose.

After Denise left, Harvey pulled out his phone and opened his photo album. There was a photo of Eloise sitting and playing the piano, looking tranquil and beautiful. He looked at it for a while before suddenly remembering that they used to be so close, yet they didn't even have a single photo together.

Harvey lightly brushed over the photo with his fingers. These days, Eloise had been ignoring him. He knew she was still mad at him.

Mad at him for what he said that night, mad at him for not being there when she needed him, mad at him for his ruthlessness towards the Bowen family.

But she didn't know, even if she disagreed, he wouldn't really hurt Dominique. Her easy compromise was just a manifestation of her distrust of him.

Harvey gave a bitter smile. He himself couldn't figure it out.

……

After work, he drove to Encore Soundworks.

Eloise had just finished work, too, sitting in her newly bought champagne-colored BMW. Since she couldn't drive, a driver sat in the front seat.

Through the car window, Harvey couldn't see the driver's face clearly. He felt that it was a good-looking young man, and quite tall.

Harvey felt a bit uneasy. But he could only digest this unease himself. He indirectly caused Eloise's inability to drive. With the situation with Landon, he dared not casually ask about her private matters.

At this moment, the BMW slowly passed by. The rear window was open, he could see Eloise's face, and he could even hear her speaking softly to the person in front,

Harvey didn't move.

After a while, he sent a message to Eloise. [Does your driver need to be so young?]

Eloise didn't reply for quite some time. He couldn't help but ask again, and this time, Eloise blocked him.

……

Dwight was driving. Actually, he had seen the serious-looking Harvey, and just seeing him like that was satisfying enough. He intentionally asked, "Was that man in the golden Bentley your ex-boyfriend?"

"We've broken up." Eloise asked again, "How do you know?"

Dwight licked his lips, excitedly saying, "I've had a conflict with him before."

Normally, Eloise would get angry because he talked too much, but this time she said nothing, so Dwight guessed, "Looks like you still like him. Don’t be fooled by his good looks. These lawyers do lots of unethical things. He’ll be bald by 35."

Eloise ignored him.

Dwight touched his good-looking chin, mumbling to himself, "Compared to him, my charm is irresistible."

……

The next day, Eloise began to make full use of his charm.

Encore Soundworks was very high-end; there was a cafe for parents to rest that served coffee and snacks every day. But the business had always been bad.

Eloise arranged for Dwight to go there. "When I don't need the car, you can rest there."

Dwight only sat for half a day before he ran back. He wasn't stupid. As soon as he sat there, business increased dramatically, and the cafe was almost full.

"I'm not a commodity!"

Eloise was drinking coffee and reading the newspaper, saying, "Don't you like to be admired by women? Now it can satisfy your vanity and increase the income of Encore Soundworks, so why not?"

Dwight snatched the newspaper from her hand. "I want a raise!" he said, “Also, I want to buy new clothes. I want to go to the wedding, and you have to buy me a suit."

He thought Eloise would refuse, but she agreed. Eloise nodded. "Okay, I'll give you one-fifth of the turnover as a commission! First, buy clothes, then deduct from the commission."

Dwight complained a bit, "You're so stingy. Are you running Encore Soundworks or some shady business?"

Eloise continued reading the newspaper. "If you don't want to do it, then forget it."

"I'll do it, I'll do it!" Dwight mumbled, "The clothes have to be expensive. I won't wear cheap ones!"

Eloise felt that it was worth investing in him. She took him to the mall and bought a deep coffee-colored suit, reasonably priced.

Dwight was not satisfied. "Can such cheap clothes be worn?"

Actually, after he put it on, it looked pretty good, especially those long legs...

Eloise didn't cater to him. She just swiped the card and said coldly, "Your monthly salary is only 800 dollars!"

Dwight did the math, 800 dollars wasn't even enough to take a girl out, so he still had to rely on Eloise. He sweet-talked her, "Ms. Laurent, you look so good when you swipe your card!"
