Eloise didn't bother hiding it.
Her relationship with the Velona family was long gone, and it was a clean break.
She said nonchalantly, “I don't know, I was just picking it up for someone else.”
Max's sister, Olga Velona, couldn't hold it in anymore. She angrily rebuked, “Eloise, you're utterly shameless! Weren’t you head over heels for my brother? Now in such a short time, you're living with someone else, and that person happens to be my brother's relative. Are you doing this on purpose to hurt our family?”
Hurt?
Eloise gave a cold laugh, “I'm lucky enough to escape Max's scheme, how can I possibly hurt the Velona family?”
As Olga was about to blow up, Aliza stopped her in time.
Aliza was very kind, just like before, “Eloise, you might not know, Max's company ran into some trouble this morning. I heard it was Harvey who stirred things up.”
Eloise was taken aback.
Then she remembered Harvey's unusual behavior last night and his words, "I'll decide what to do after I help you solve the problem."
She thought he was just joking, but he really did it.
Such a man was undeniably charming. Just thinking about him made Eloise feel a little hot. At the same time, she felt a sense of satisfaction that the Velona family finally met their match.
Eloise showed no sympathy.
She looked at her coffee and said calmly, “Then you should go find Harvey or Orlena Horigan, why come to me?”
Aliza said with a smile, “Eloise, I know you're a smart girl, and you must understand the reason. I believe that you being with Harvey is a reluctant choice, and that you still love Max, I promise you…”
Eloise couldn't bear to hear anymore.
It was sickening!
She was so furious that she almost couldn’t control her emotions, she said, “Mrs. Velona, you're overthinking it. I have no interest in Max now. I suggest you see a psychiatrist. How else could you think I would like a man who wants to ruin my family?”
She turned and walked away.
Olga shouted from behind, “Eloise, don't go too far. I don't believe you don't love my brother anymore! You should help him, you have to!”
Eloise stood there, feeling that even breathing was a pain.
