"Boom-bang-boom-bang..."
The sound of firecrackers came from outside. Though the sound was not very loud, it came from time to time, so everyone in the house knew that Raymond was coming.
Alexis and Cindy hid Scarlett’s wedding shoes and ran to wink at Scarlett. "Lettie, don't worry. I've hidden the shoes. If Raymond doesn't satisfy my requirements, he will never find the shoes!"
According to the local customs, the bridegroom had to find the shoes hidden by the bridesmaid, and then he put the shoes on the bride and took her to the wedding site.
Scarlett looked up at Alexis. "Are you sure that Cindy won't embarrass Raymond and tell him where the shoes are?"
Hearing Scarlett's words, Cindy immediately said, "Don’t worry. I won't give him any hint!"
Alexis snapped her fingers. “That’s great!’
Alexis patted Scarlett on her shoulder and asked deliberately, "Raymond is coming. Are you nervous? Are you excited? Is your heart beating fast?"
Scarlett knew that with Alexis around, the atmosphere wouldn't be dull at all. She looked up at Alexis and smiled, without saying anything.
Alexis wore a light pink tight long dress and a cape today. She had her hair in a bun, and only two wisps of hair were hanging down her face. She looked very fresh and a bit different from what she looked like on the screen as usual.
Cindy complimented Alexis several times on her today’s dress and hairstyle.
Today was Scarlett's wedding. Though Larry was already thirty-five, he hadn’t found a girlfriend, not to mention when he would hold a wedding.
But as Scarlett's brother, Larry would test Raymond before Raymond took Scarlett to the wedding site.
Ben and Viviana accompanied Rowan in the living room. When they saw Larry testing Raymond, Viviana looked up at Scarlett’s bedroom on the third floor and couldn't help smiling. "Dad, our family has not been so lively for a long time."
People would fall into good spirits when happy events occurred. Rowan had been ill, and he was not allowed to be discharged from hospital until several days ago. He looked radiant and healthy today and wore an amiable smile all the time, though he was serious at ordinary times.
