While the three were talking, there came a noise from outside the door. Alexis was not as eloquent as Scarlett, and at such a moment, Alexander was no match for her. She asked the guests to present their gifts while Cindy collected them. In just two minutes, tens of thousands of dollars were collected.
Alexis thought it would require a lot of talking. To her surprise, those people outside gladly complied, and she had no more reason to be obstructive. She turned to look at Cindy and asked, "Cindy, how much have we received?"
"I'm not quite sure. There seems to be 520 dollars in each envelope, and we've received dozens of them."
Alexis glanced at the red envelopes that were too many for Cindy to hold and tutted, "Since they obey the rules, we will open the door!"
With that, she exchanged looks with Cindy. The door was then pulled open.
It was a big day for Raymond. Alexis certainly would rough horseplay at the wedding. After all, such an opportunity was not easy to come by.
The door was open, but not completely. " The bride is inside, Mr. Shaw. There is a quiz about Scarlett. If you answer it correctly, I’ll open the door and let you in."
Raymond rarely looked gentle today. "Go ahead."
Alexis then raised the question, "Does Scarlett like to wear an apron or not when
she cooks?"
Alexander tutted, "Alexis, what kind of question is this? Are you on Ray's side?"
Alexis looked askance at him and asked back, "Alexander, could it be that you know the answer?"
Alexander felt the pressure and winced. " You're joking, right? Of course, I don't, but Ray does."
He nudged Raymond and said, "Right?"
Raymond glanced inside but failed to see Scarlett because the room was too large.
