Scarlet was reading several novels which would be turned into TV series when some people were making trouble downstairs. She planned to invest in web series this year.
She just read the outline of the novels and prepared to skim through the detailed plot. At this moment, the phone started to ring.
Scarlet raised her head to look at it and then picked u p the receiver. "What's up?"
"Miss Reed, this is Reilly. There is an old woman downstairs wanting to see you. She says she is your grandma."
'Grandma?'
Scarlet almost forgot this title. Actually, she had families in this world.
However, they didn't deserve to be her family.
Ten years ago, they had lost contact with her. Now, they appeared again. Scarlet raised her eyebrows and said, "Stop her."
Reilly got what Scarlet meant. "I see, Miss Reed."
Hanging up, Reilly looked at the old woman and another middle-aged man and said, "Madam, you
mistake Miss Reed. She doesn't have relatives."
Kyleigh said, "What do you mean? I'm her grandma. The damn girl! How dare she disown me! What an ungrateful girl!"
Rocco also chimed in, "Nonsense. Scarlet is my sister's daughter. Let her down. If not, we'll go upstairs. I'd like to see who dares to stand in the way. If you dare t o do this, I'll tell my niece and then you'll get fired."
This was the first time Reilly dealt with such kind of thing, but as a manager, she wasn't stumped by these two people, an old lady and a shameless man.
Rocco blinked and then gave Kyleigh a thumbs up. " Good idea. This is really a good trick."
"Who am I?"
Rocco added proudly, "Mom! You are so brilliant!"
After saying that, he suddenly found it was not easy for them to make it happen. "Mom, we don't know any of those media companies. And we don't have money t o gain public attention."
Kyleigh gave him a punch. "How stupid you are! Just think about the short videos you skimmed through. There are always some reporters helping others. Why don't you just ask them for help?"
"Right. Mom, just wait. I'll contact them right away." "Hurry up."
