Raymond heard what Scarlett had said. He looked up a t her and said, "I don't know."
He said as he coughed. His face was pallor. He looked drawn.
'He looks poor.'
Scarlett arched her eyebrows and thought of the thermometer. She said, "Time is up."
Only then did Raymond think of it. He took out the thermometer from his armpit and handed it to her.
Originally, Scarlett didn't plan to check it for him. But he had handed it to her, and she could only take it.
The thermometer was warmed by Raymond's body. The temperature was a little high. She frowned and checked the thermometer. She said, "39.6°C."
Raymond raised his hand to touch his forehead and nodded.
When he left home, he had had a fever already. It was not strange that his temperature raised to 39.6°C now.
Scarlett put the thermometer away and glanced at him coldly. She said, "You should go to the hospital."
He said, "No."
He looked up at her doggedly.
Scarlett smiled and said angrily, "It's none of my business."
'He is more than thirty years old. Why is he like a kid when he is ill?'
Scarlett said, "Eat some porridge."
She took his phone and said, "Please lend me your phone."
Raymond saw her walk away with his phone but didn't eat the porridge.
He knew why she took his phone. She had blocked the phone numbers of Alexander and him. She took his phone because she wanted to call Alexander and ask Alexander to pick him up.
Raymond guessed right. After Scarlett took his phone, she called Alexander immediately.
She still remembered Alexander's phone number and even didn't need to look for it.
Alexander answered the phone soon, "Ray?"
